This container is worth the cost - just don't overcrank it, and make sure you teach others in your household to press the release button and not try to force it open. (We've had both issues, but they are strictly Operator Error.)

These 2.5 qt containers are awesome. They fit the fridge nicely and the vacuum seal (on one of the units) works well. However, I've had a problem with the second vacuum lid and will need to contact the company for a replacement. Overall the product is great. May update this review depending on how long it takes to get a replacement vacuum lid.

18 Months later:The gears are stripped out and the unit will no longer pull a vacuum.First impressions:Well constructed, easy to use and clean. Does not feel cheap which is good for tupperware that costs $70Too small for 2 pounds of whole coffee beans, so those 2 Lbs sacks of coffee from Costco won't fit in one container..

I love this! It kind of weird because it not a traditional container.To open you need to press the button and release the air and then pull the lid off.In order to close it, you put the lid on, twist (about 3 turns) until the grey button is "deflated" and that's it.I opened up a package of Oreos and were about 3 weeks in and they're still fresh and crops.I was actually very impressed with how fresh the Oreos were after weeks of being in the container.I know it works because I have similar containers and they didn't last as long as the ones in this container did.It's easy to wash. I don't own a dishwasher so I cannot account for that but I hand wash and air dry it and it's great. No scratches.It's not a flimsy or thin plastic it's pretty durable.Comes in a nice box. Perfect for gifting at a housewarming party or for a college student.Sample provided for my evaluation and honest review.
