Halloween Kills: The Official Movie Novelization

This "Novel" of Michael Myers was a great find!!!
Less than 24 hours after placing this order it arrived at my door step quickly and effectively. I can't really complain!!! The only thing that did let me down sort of was the "cover version" shown on Amazon was not the "cover version on the actual novel I received. Would have been a nice find as this was a gift for a super fan of Michael Myers. Happy Holidays and get this novel!

If You Hate It, Blame The Fans
While this book was better than the one prior to it in the series, it was also hampered by the things that people hated about the film it novelizes. I'm a fan of the movie, though it is not the best in the series. I feel the same exact way about the book."Halloween Kills" is the philosophical entry in the "Halloween" franchise, though it really does not go far enough within that realm. Had it gone further, like I wish it would have, fans would have been even more alienated as the majority of them have let it be known they don't want that or character development. What we are left with is a book that hovers somewhere in an unhappy middle place. Big ideas are hinted at, but never played out. It is frustrating, and I believe writers catering to fans and the studio are to blame. I will say this, however, this story's ending last lines are great, and I will finish out the series once the last book is released.

Superior to the Film in Every Way
I finished this novel within just a day— not due to its length, but rather due to the way it gripped my attention and refused to let go (akin to being grabbed by Michael Myers, funny enough). It's easily superior to the film in many ways, including the moments that allow the reader to fill in the gaps, most notably the firefighter confrontation in the opening, and the story's ending. The way Tim Waggoner creates palpable tension in text as masterfully as filmmakers do within visuals is incredible. On about three occasions, I found my palms sweating— I was anxious for the characters, I was there with them in the dead of night, looking over my shoulder for the Boogeyman.I especially enjoyed the expanded characterization of many side characters— they jump right off the page and become so believable that I felt personal grief upon their deaths. This isn't just a fantastic novelization— it transcends the film to become an incredible novel in its own right, and worthy of being enjoyed in a manner completely removed from its source material. They'd be crazy to not ask Mr. Waggoner back for Halloween Ends' novelization.

Love it!!
I’m a horror fan and I love Michael Myers. I also love to read so this was just perfect for me. I’ve seen the movie but for me, books are always better than the movies. I enjoyed reading the parts that had been left out as well as reading the parts that happened just like the movie. If you love horror and love to read, just buy it.

A fantastic narration of a fantastic book
I am a lifelong Halloween fan, and a book lover. This is absolutely the best of both worlds.Author Tim Waggoner GETS Halloween and Michael Myers. The atmosphere, the descriptions, and most of all, Michael Myers’ point of view are all written in such a way that fits the Halloween franchise so well.I’m assuming the book was written based on a revised and not final script as there are some differences from the movie. Same are small, some are big, and some are very interesting Easter eggs that make for a fantastic read (no spoilers!).Bronson Pinchot brings the book to another level. His voice conveys emotion and excitement and goes almost lifeless when reading Michael’s point of view, and it is awesome! Pinchot’s tone is captivating and I never felt distracted from what I was hearing. This is an audiobook deserving of listening to more than once.I highly recommend both the novelization and its audiobook to all Halloween fans and book lovers alike.

Its the movie, plus extra!
Was pretty fun to read, I loved how it had some parts in Michaels perspective but its a "love-hate" thing on the way its done and how I feel about it affecting his character. It makes it look like his whole strenght and power comes from his mask. One thing I loved was how it added more backround to the other mental patient who escaped the bus. I really love that guy now, he's like one of my favorite characters cause of how innocent they make him 💙. The book also has a scene from the end that was cut from the movie in theaters which is cool. Overall 9/10

The best ‘Halloween’ to date
I really enjoyed reading this book. I not only felt like I was watching the movie but it actually gave more details of things I didn’t catch while watching the film. Well done & looking forward to reading again!

Colección de libros, muy linda y práctica. Además, sus libros son de fácil lectura.
Me agrada que está colección tenga un muy precio en cada uno de sus libros. Ya tengo 11 y creo que los seguiré coleccionando.

Couldn't put it down
Thank you too the author Tim, you had me on the edge of my seat, I've seen the film but this book is a far more intimate experience, there are times when you're feeling that nothing that Michael feels, amazing work, I chose this rating for the above reasons, I recommend this book to all who love the film's

Fantastic read
Having watched the film 6 times already, I am a massive fan, I am about a quarter way through the book. It is almost scene fie scene to the film, but more descriptive. Recommended to any fan of the films

Halloween kills

The saga continues!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween Kills movie and just started this gem today! Nicely done and captures some personal insight of the characters that are not in the movie!
