Prep is the hardest part!
I purchased this product along with the Rustic brown stain additive in order to complete my basement living room floor. The key to using this product is in the prep work. Take the time to clean and repair your concrete before using this and you will have a beautiful floor. I read several different blogs/reviews before purchasing and was able to avoid several issues others had encountered. My floor was painted with a cement colored Kilz due to multiple stains by the homes previous owner. The application of the product was simple but I would suggest having a partner. Having one person cut in and the other go behind them with a roller. At the 45 minute mark it started becoming thick and was a little more difficult to get an even coat. If I had worked alone I would not have had the best results. I also had a several settlement cracks in the floor. I chose not to repair those because I liked the way they looked and I think it added a lot of character to the floor. I repaired holes left by the tack strips and used backer rod and concrete repair in the deepest part of the cracks. Cleaned twice with TSP, painted with Kilz and then applied the product with stain additive and anti slip granules. I couldn’t be happier with this product!

Just get it
I don’t care what anyone says, this thing is amazing. Our garage looks like “chefs kiss”, seriously! The only add on that we did was a top coat. Does it need one? I don’t know? That’s up to you. We use it for our home gym so we wanted to make sure durability was there. Buy it, do it yourself. It’s worth it and this little kit makes it so easy.

Does not cover well
Very easy to follow directions! I bought mica powder to colour my epoxy. My space is 350 sqft, I said what the heck I’ll buy two boxes (enough for 1000 sqft) to be safe based on the reviews. It didn’t even cover half. I’m honestly buying another 2000 sqft worth to finish the last half. It took the colour very well.
