Fluidmaster Universal Install/Uninstall Toilet Repair Tool

Fantastic tool. The nut under the toilet tank was impossible to unscrew with any existing tools I have. Took me a few hrs trying out various tools and a very strained neck. Glad I found this before having to uninstall the entire toilet. Literally took less then a minute to take them off. It accommodates 2 sizes of nut and if it fits yours, then you are in luck. The small end unfortunately did not fit the nut I had for the toilet seat. It had 2 notches but I needed to have 4. I didn't have any problems removing those with a wrench as I had more space to work with. It would have been nice if I could have used it for those as well but this tool was a life saver for what I needed to be done.

Awesome tool. Yes, it is made of plastic, but it is very hard plastic. This tool saved me from a costly plumber bill. I had tried for several weeks to loosen the smart nut on my old toilet fil valve with no luck. It wouldn't budge. All it took was a slight gentle nudge with this tool and the nut came right off. I can't say enough good things about it. It is a must to have in a tight space as my toilet sits in. I highly recommend it.

I bought one of these hoping to use it to remove a stuck Delta toilet valve locknut that was admittedly in an impossibly tight place and it didn't work. Just couldn't get it in a position to get good leverage. What DID eventually work was using my oscillating tool to cut through the valve threading and the locknut itself and pry the locknut off. (I was replacing the valve anyway so I didn't care if I destroyed the threading.) It does seem like a great tool in a different situation! And before you @ me for using a Fluidmaster tool on a Delta product, several "experts" recommended the tool!

I purchased this product with hopes of it assisting in removing a stubborn locknut on the bottom of our toilet that is holding the fill valve in place. Unfortunately it did not fit the locknut size at all and was completely useless. I ended up purchasing channel locks and was able to successfully remove the stubborn nut with that. Some of these specifically designed tools sound great on paper but in practice I'd still recommend tried and true existing tools instead.

This was the item I needed. Worked perfectly. I went to two hardware stores and couldn't find this product. The one I almost bought was almost $30. This little guy does a trick. So happy

This item worked for me very well and made the job of fixing toilets in my house a lot faster. The nuts underneath the toilet fill valves would be nearly impossible for me to take off to the point I almost shelled money to hire a contractor. Instead I opt to save my money and try to buy tools that can do the job for cheaper. Really happy with this and wish I knew about it earlier. Should have bought this along time ago. Definitely a good additional tool to have in the tool box. My only caution is to check the pattern of your nut before buying this one to see if it is compatible just in case. I was able to take off a nut that was stuck in under a minute where as without this, it took me almost a day.

I installed a few toilets without the tool and it took me twice as long and it was twice as hard just using regular wrenches. The tool made it so much easier to quickly tighten bolts and fittings. It was worth every cent.
