Excellent speakers for the price.
My previous speakers stopped working. Ordered these and received the next day. Easy to setup and sounds great. Really like the on-off pod. Plenty of cable length as well. Great speakers for a great price.

After testing a number of these, this one wins for longest cables, adjustable bass with port on the side, great sound
Pretty darn good speakers for a variety of uses. I'm going to use them to replace the audio on my flat screen tv, since it appears that by law the included speakers have to stink. I'd rather the set was a little thicker and had usable speakers. So far I've yet to have anyone show up to my house and whip out a micrometer to see how thick my tv is. I'm also not interested in firing up a 300-500 watt sound system to watch the news or for my son to watch a kids show.Anyhow, I've looked at a few of these in the same ~$30 price range. This one has very long cables, longer than any other I'd seen, which is a plus if you're going to use them on a big tv. The bass box is small and has the large vent on the side, not the bottom, which many other speaker sets had. I have two places for it, a hard surface and a spot on carpet, so bottom bass port is bad. On many of these there is also no cover or screen on the bottom bass port, just a bare speaker. That's going to get ripped pretty quick if you aren't careful handling it.This also has adjustable bass. Not found on many 2.1's this size/price, and a volume control on a little pod. The pod has a headphone jack and an aux 3.5mm input. Really handy!Sound is very good. I'm not an audiophile but I've tinkered with small 3.5mm/bluetooth speakers that went from $12-100 and this sounds by far the best. Good sparkling highs although you're going to need to lower the bass at full volume level. It starts sounding rough until you drop it to below the halfway point. If you want something to plug your phone/tablet into, replace a bad flat screen tv speaker, or put out great sound-on-the-cheap from your PC, this appears to be the winner. The runner-up was the Creative 2.1 that runs around the same price, $30ish. That has shorter cables, no bass adjust, bass port on the bottom, etc.

speaker
at first i was hesitant on buying this speaker but i ended up buying it n i saw all the comments talking abt its good overall n it has some distortion but rlly it doesnt rlly have distortion only if u turn it up fully on a song thats like rlly high n the speakers are made of cheap plastic lowk but its rlly good n the bass thing is smaller than expected but its looks cool and its rlly easy to set up but its kinda a lot of wires i would buy this if your looking for cheap subwoofers but if u have a big budget dont get it you can definitely get something better

Sound quality for spoken words.
The bass overwhelmed the treble and at times the voices were muffled. The setup was easy. I think the system was more that what I needed. So I went with a smaller setup.

The old version of these was much better and more functional.
I have an earlier version of this brand that I bought almost 10 years ago. It still works fine but the potentiometer dial on the side that controls the amount of base (independent of the satellite speakers) has become glitchy. In the new version they put a control on the back of the base cube but it it does not turn down the base only. It turns all speakers down so what is the sense because I have a volume control on my computer that does the exact same thing. The satellite speakers are not interchangeable with the old style base cube. The NEW version of their product in a word..... terrible. The setup is the same as the old version.1) The dial volume control part does NOT have the separate base control dial on the side.2) The base cube is tiny and sounds awful. It has the base "rattles". It is NOT clear like the old version.3) As for the satellite speakers, they are absolutely tiny compared to the old version and more importantly the wires for them are 1/3rd the length of the originals, and this length problem (cannot get the speakers far enough away from each other) is an absolute NO.4) Even the polarity on the speakers is different so I could not even switch the old satellite speakers with the new ones.I am returning this set immediately, they are absolute junk compared to their old product in my opinion. I'll keep using the old style speakers of this brand until they burn out.

Your ears will be rewarded
I bought this set, and the larger CA3602, recently. This speaker set is perfect for the small desktop or small room. Because the speakers don't have control knobs on them, they take up less space on the desktop. The sub and speakers are ample loud for watching movies, listening to music or podcasts. The hockey-puck controller is a great design - it includes volume and on/off, as well as a jack for headphones (also controlled by the volume on the puck), and ipod aux input (the cord IS included and you can listen without the computer on). The sound is very good - considering it's only $30 - these are a real bargain. I think the CA3602 is an even better bang for the buck. The twin drivers of the CA3602 satellites are rated 6 watts to the CA3090's 2.5 watts single speaker satellites, the subwoofer is 18 watts, to the CA3090 at 5 watts. It makes a difference - the CA3602 set is much louder, better for a dorm room or inexpensive ($38) home theater - for the price you cannot go wrong with these great sounding speakers. The sub woofer volume control is also moved to the hockey puck controller on the CA3602, making it even more versatile, unobtrusive and simple to use. These have everything you need for great sound at your computer, but the CA3602 set will give you more power. Either way, a real bargain.

Not the best, but it does the job
Granted, it’s not the best but for this price, it sufficed. Quality of sound isn’t really bad.
