Hangar 9 Remote Glow Plug Adapter with Starter Adapter HAN3025 Air Field Equip & Electronics

This is what I’ve been waiting for! Don’t get the Dubro or the Sullivan, or the MPJ. Get this one. It’s boot actually fits on a glow plug without a hassle and clips in very nicely. I was hesitant at first, but decided to try yet another remote igniter setup from a different manufacturer. I’m glad I did. I will buy more for sure. In fact, I may buy a few and put them away for later. Once you install everything, I highly recommend soldering and heat shrinking the brass clip that is on the glow plug lead. Installation and soldering and heat shrinking took about 10 minutes from the time I opened the package to the point of testing.

I love these little units, they can be a tad tricky to get sitting correctly on the glow plugs but when they are just right they work really good. Do yourself a favor and get one, save those fingers for flying the sticks.

I needed the fittings for my float plane. Yup chopped wires/re-soldered. and used the hardware for a great install. The glow plug connector fits like a glove on my Magnum 52 4S. I mounted the female phone plug on the fuse and the male end is a pigtail to connect the removable wing with engine pod. The back side of the plug goes to my glow driver module. Clean install and that's how we model Folks!!

Very good idea but I would like to see some improvements. First big one is the threads to hold it in place are only long enough to mount this into a thin fiberglass or plastic engine cowl. I wanted to mount this in the side of my plane but couldn’t. Second is why put a connector in the positive wire but not the negative wire

I've been in rc helis for many years, and this particular glow plug clip can't be beat. Very strong, positive grip on the glow plug, the wire length is plentiful, and a low profile on the clip is very nice.

super easy to use and much safer than having your fingers near a spinning prop. i have mine mounted on the side of the fuse about 8 inches from the prop. simply plug in and start, no spring clips just a regular mini plug into female socket with you standard glow igniter plugged on the other end

This solved a problem I was having, fast delivery, correct product, happy customer.

I liked that it kept my fingers out of the propellor but disliked the fact that the input socket had such a short threaded portion that the only place to fit it was through the fibereglass engine cowl. This tends to negate the advantage of keeping fingers away from props. Used on a Hawker Typhoon with an inverted engine. Would have given 5 stars if not for crticisms mentioned. It did do what it was intended for

Good price, and necessary when you have an RC plane with glow engine with the cylinder that is pointed down make it hard to install a glow driver directly Comes longer than required but can be shortend if you can solder and apply heat shrink.
