The Pro Version of FrameForge Previz Studio 3 is designed for the professional filmmaker who wants even greater control over lighting & camera equipment. The Pro Version has all the features in the Core Version plus: -Multiple-source lighting using SmartLights that can be pointed at any object with a simple click of the mouse. -Multiple-source Overlapping Shadows instantly add depth and realism to any image, in real-time as you work. -Automatic Sun Position based on your selection of the geographical location, date & time of your shoot anywhere in the world. Users can choose the exact equipment they’ll use, and know exactly what to expect on set. -Dolly Tracks that "know" how to snap together automatically with dollies that "know" how to automatically follow the tracks. -JL Fisher Dollies, Cranes, Jibs & Crossarms that function exactly like their originals from their ability to follow dolly tracks to how high they'll crane or how the jibs or cross-arms will spin. -Geared, Fluid & Three Axis Remote Heads all of which function as their real-world counterparts do. -Low Hats, High Hats, Baby & Standard tripods all sized to industry standards. My name is Bobby. I purchased FrameForge in early 2016 to use at home. I find it very useful for creative purposes and it fits my overall scheme to build a foundation in the 3d arts. I like to tell a my thoughts in storyboards. I recommend it to a artist whom wants to inspire others. Its perfect for to put your visuals on record.

Buggy, unstable, expensive.
This is without a doubt one of the most unstable programs I've ever run on my Mac, whether free or paid. I'm running the absolute latest version of OS X and the absolute latest version of FrameForge (3.5), which was updated last night. Even with everything being up-to-date, I can expect two or three, maybe even four crashes per hour.FrameForge has a standalone app that's used to transform FBX format 3D models into a form FrameForge can use. This app has never - not even one time - worked at all. I have never once had a successful conversion - it crashes every time. If I want a custom model, I have to use Sketchup format, and it can't be a model saved in the latest Sketchup format, it has to be an older format. It's really a shame, as FrameForge has the best and most complete set of features I've found in storyboarding software. But if you're constantly in fear of losing your work or wasting time with crashes, that negates the benefit gained from the feature set.Would I buy this again? Nope. I wouldn't even use it if it were free, but now that I've paid for it, I might as well try to get my money's worth out of it.

Saves Me Lots of Times and Money
I use FrameForge in pre-production on commercials, videos, and short films. I think it's great. It takes a while to get the hang of it but that's how you learn anything. Anytime I had a question their support team helped me right away. I use it on an MBP and have no problems at all.

Very dissatisfied. I am going with iClone 7 instead.
I have experienced numerous crashes, lost projects—and felt the recent $350 "upgrade" to version 4 is an absolute scam. When contacting customer service, they did not help:"I have to be honest with you, we have a lot going on around here at the moment & things are kind of hectic. We have a new version that was just released in addition to a new website and forums. There is an investor who has gotten involved in some of the day to day operations work but he's on the East coast while the rest of us are on the West coast. With everything that has been going on during the last week, I know that there has been a little of the old "one hand not knowing what the other hand has done" kind of thing if you catch my drift."
