These augers use standard NPT pipe thread so extra sections can be easily added for digging deeper holes.

I needed to drill a few holes into a clay ground to provide drainage to new tree. This tool did the job, but the cutting steel needed a bit of adjustment with a wrench to open it up to the full bore.

Took 20 minutes to dig one hole 10 inches deep. Clay soil compacts in tool, you have to pry out the clay every few inches. I went back to my drill mounted auger device. Waste of money for me.

We used this to get fertilizer deep into the ground for our new trees. Works great!

Great for fertilizer stakes or "packets" of fertilizer in ground around trees. Not the easiest tool to dig into the dirt (the soil here is from sediment deposited over the millennia.)

My soil is sandy loam and I wanted to dig a sand point well rather than do the old pounding method. I tried this on a whim and have to say it worked extremely well. Impressed with it and happy I tried it.
