1800mAh SPR-003 SPR003 SPR-A-BPAA-CO Battery Replacement Compatible with Nintendo 3DS XL SPR-001 and New 3DS XL RED-001

After owning your 3DS XL for a long while, you will find the battery won't hold a charge for as long as it used to. This one has slightly more capacity than the original battery and works fine for me so far. Had it for months at this point.

I bought this battery because I thought my sons 5 yr 3ds XL was not holding a charge. However, the problem was something different. It had to do with the cable inside the system that when extending the screen 180 degrees or closing the lid, it would immediately shut down. It is a known problem (known to me after extensive googling) and has a quick fix of not opening the lid 180 degrees and saving progress before closing the lid. Before buying this battery, you might want to check if you have this problem first.To the battery... The battery is exactly was is described but should have a little bit more in its description. 1. The battery is slightly thicker. The thickness is not a problem and will fit in the battery well. i.e. there is no bulge when closing the bottom cover. 2. It is so every slightly longer. This is a minor problem because it does not drop in the battery well with like the original battery. You will need to use a plastic pry tool to leverage it into the well. To me it was a little worrisome because I didn't want to break the system by forcing the battery in. However with a little coaxing, it went in. So far, the battery has worked fine. No sudden fires, over heating, or smell of ozone. Does it last longer because of the 1800mAh, I can't say but I son can play on his 3DS XL all day >8 hours without having to recharge.

Battery dies after just a few hours. May have been defective. May be the battery in general. Last less than the one I replaced. If you want a battery that lasts a few hours this is fine. It fits and works. If you want a full battery that will replace your original, i'd look elsewhere

Product came early and in good condition. The screwdriver was very helpful. Easy install and it seems to be working fine.

Poor battery life compared to an OEM SPR-003. Also, my 3DS kept powering off until I put a paper shim in with this battery to keep it in touch with the contacts. Worked as a stopgap for 2 weeks until a new OEM battery arrived from Nintendo, which is far superior.

The 3 DSXL is working perfectly with the new battery.

Had some problems with shipping at first but due to great customer service it arrived. Using it on a New 3ds xl and it works. Can't tell any difference between the old battery and this one. I was hoping to use this as a backup battery that I could swap between when my regular battery died, but when you take out the battery, the time and date resets. At least i have a spare now.

This battery was only slightly better than my run-down original Nintendo battery. Got it back in 2020. Now in March 2022 my 3ds stopped turning on, even when charging, so I decided to take the battery out and investigate. The battery is bulged and one of the plastic ends popped off. This battery could have exploded. I have very strictly kept my 3ds inside and my ac is always running with no sun light contact. There is no reason on my behalf this should have occurred. Trust the negative reviews on this one. If I had kept my old battery, at least I could still play.
