This product is an absolute Godsend!
Photo shows area of window treated on the left / untreated area on the right. Last year we bought insect netting for our PVC windows, which we attached with the Velcro-like strips provided. Unfortunately, the Velcro strips came away but left a VERY difficult-to-remove glue residue, which was either extremely sticky or dried rock-hard. Dirt and dust was getting stuck to it, and the glue would not budge. After much distress and desperate Googling, we came across this Goo Gone product and THANK GOD we did! I was sceptical anything could shift that glue, but this stuff really works! We applied copious amounts to tissue/kitchen roll and 'soaked' the gluey surface for a few minutes before attacking with a special plastic scraper. (There's one provided, but we bought an additional one with replacement blades). Sometimes reapplication was required for the tougher spots, but the difference it made was incredible. It took a lot of patience (working on small sections at a time) but the window frames look almost as good as new - and most importantly, are no longer sticky! The product feels very oily but smells quite nice! We simply wiped off the residue and then wiped again with warm water and detergent to remove any lingering oilyness.

Well takes abit of work but does work
Got this as ran out of jml sticky stuff remover. The goo gone is not bad it removed the sticky residue from my car window off the tax disk holder, and tried using it on thin plastic it seamed to stiffen the plastic and it cracked. Not a issue muchBut bk to the review so it works had to uses it a couple of times over the glue and use the little scrapper on glass it works great. It smells ok not to powerful smell its a chemical its going to smell abit but not to powerful. Would recommend

Really works
I had used rug tape with some kind of mesh in it on my laminate floor to keep the rug in place and have decided to get a different rug. It left behind a very thick sticky residue that wouldn’t come off. This stuff worked wonders. I put it in a spray bottle. Just be careful though as it’s oily and makes the floor very slippery! Hold the spray close to the floor to minimise the oil mist spreading. Keep wiping with dry kitchen paper to soak up the rest. Very strong orange smell but not unpleasant.

Fantastic product - don't bother looking elsewhere
I had stuck a large temporary cardboard black out blind (the blind suppliers supply double sided tape) on a UPVC window. Sure the blind stayed up but when we took it down to replace with a permanent blind we were left with a sticky residue which was simply impossible to remove - tried everything. Got this from Amazon and whilst I thought expensive it removed the residue with very little effort when applied using some Kitchen paper towel. The orange odour is very mild and pleasant and does not last. Worth every penny.

It's ok.
I was a little disappointed with this. I think you have to use too much of it to be able to remove all the gu! Too expensive to be using too much.

Brilliant product
We stuck a rug onto carpet with carpet tape in our rental property and when we removed it, a very visible yellow sticky line was on the carpet. Bought this product which has removed it completely, saving me having to replace a carpet! Very easy to use. Thank god I found it

Works better than expected
I honestly didn't expect this to do much. I need to renew the 3M Double Anchor Heavy Duty Velcro on the lens protectors on my motorcycle. The adhesive left behind from these is thick and like a hardened glue.I didn't fancy smelling of WD40 to do this so I bought some Goo Gone to try along with a spudger. The spudger wasn't great and deformed, but the Goo Gone actually loosened the very hardened adhesive on both the motorcycle plastic lens and the protectors themselves. Once the main adhesive was removed, I then applied a 2nd does to some kitchen roll and used this to clean up the residue left behind. This then leaves items greasy and smelling similar to WD40 anyway - albeit with a zesty smell too. So some washing up liquid and hot water then cleaned away the grease and the smell.I can now apply my new velcro pads to clean surfaces.
