This doll is exactly the same as the ones in the store which is why I gave it five stars. If I was to rate Mattel on this doll I would give one star. I've bought my 11 year old daughter a holiday Barbie since she was born and this is the worst one yet. The dress is junk and even the plastic box is garbage. If this is the new Mattel trend I might have to end her collection. This doll is dollar store quality where as the past dolls are beautiful!

Great price for a collector Barbie! My daughter is six so we don’t want to invest a ton in Barbies she wants to take out of the box but this was on her Christmas list. Great deal and she was so happy. And the doll is beautiful. So glad it’s not the typical red and green.

Very nice Holiday Barbie, I too actually saw this in person at a Whole sale store and thought as many of you had about the new snow globe packaging. I did read everyones review and had my daughter read them as well. I still went ahead and ordered as she is a 33year old collector and has been collecting Holiday Barbies since she was first born. I guess we did ok as I check the back of the head and did find any bald spots. I do agree in the past the Holiday Barbies were really much better. This is my opinion is ok. Reviewing this in 2018, if you are looking at this for xmas then you are a little too late for the correct year but if you need to finish your collection then it should do that unless you need other ones to finish it out then you will need to buy them too. So it is Barbie, it was made like other Barbies but Holiday style and not like the $1.99 ones. Now if you are the type of person who buys a bag of chips and the first one is always burnt or every time you have got a bag of apples and your first bite is rotten then you might have bad luck so you decide if you want to take a chance on buying it or not.

I rarely give reviews with less than 5 stars but this Barbie is acceptably worthy of only 4. This years doll is a bit disappointing. The dress is a bit odd. The bodice is plastic and looks awkward. It would have looked way better if it were made of lace with glittery beads or sequins or even both. The package is different this year. It's a Snow Globe package instead of the usual box the Holiday Barbies come in. The doll is pretty and I like the aqua color of the dress. This years doll just doesn't have the quality of the others. Something about it is just "Meh". It will go on the shelf with all of my other Holiday Barbies. This years doll is just "OK". Hopefully next years doll will be better.

Gave this as a gift, been giving the Holiday Babies since 1996. I've seen reviews that said the quality isn't as good as previous years. The barbies that we gift are never removed from the box, so I can't comment on that aspect. The packaging has changed, but we all enjoyed the new snowflake design. The dress is a very beautiful blue. Will continue to buy in the future.

Ok, getting my daughter a Holliday Barbie has been a tradition (her grandma started), since her first Christmas. It is a wonderful tradition to have with your little girl. She looks forward to them every year. This year is her seventeenth one. My only complaint about this year's Holliday Barbie is that is is so plain compared to all the other Holliday Barbies. The globe shaped box is a neat and refreshing idea, but her hair and dress are very plain, simple, and unfestive. I hope they go back to being glamorous like in the past years.

I’m not sure what the one star was for but I had no issues with the Barbie. She was cute and her clothes though a bit tacky gave options to mix up designs for different fashions and outfit. Also her face mold was cute so if you’re into rerooting and or ooak, she’s cute. You get a whole bunch of outfits and accessories. I have no issues, shipping was quick and in a box. For the price, I would say she was worth it. So much I bought two. Lastly she has some articulation so you can pose her but she’s not a full made to move.

The Barbie Extra line in general is very good quality, this doll is beautiful and has a good range of extra clothes. Tip when unboxing, the wheel effect in the box is achieved using a doll stand grip, so if you're careful when unboxing, you will have a fancy doll stand. NB that the hair is polypropylene and does need to be tidied up after unboxing.. do not attack the hair with a brush, use a comb and be gentle so you don't end up frizzing her hair.
