Not good enough
It works but, playback speed is very inconsistent. It's very sensitive to power supply quality. You can hear all the noise from the power supply. The cheap power supplies you buy online aren't good enough to help.I used a quality electronic lab bench power supply to remove the hum. It worked, but it didn't help speed stability issues. It's not good enough for music. IMHO it's not even good enough for voice recordings.

Great product!
I have HUNDREDS of cassette tapes to partially digitize, fragments of each one I have to digitize - about 100 fragments off of each 60 or 90 cassette tape. So, a lot of mechanical use - very heavy usage - play, stop, rewind, play, stop rewind, play, and so on for hours at a time - hundreds of times per one cassette tape. Out of 7 different cassette-to-MP3-converters on the market - I bought and tried them all - this one is the most convenient, LASTING, PORTABLE unit of them all and it has the best sound to noise ratio ie. best mp3 sound quality of all of them on the market available on Amazon. I personally bought 5 of these LYSS converters and the 4 extra ones been also tested and sitting unused until the one I use - breaks - like the other one from other manufacturers :) Just in case. Lyss CC601 is the best, although not perfect. Why? If it had one more feature: an ability to DELETE from the USB flash drive the recordings you messed up - instead of having to do this LATER on a PC - I would pay much mote for it then first 12 dollars and now 30 dollars :) Otherwise, and excellent product for a great price. I probably will get even more :) The one I am using - was used on 15 tapes so far, 270 tapes to go, will take me 2 years probably, so the one I am using has been through about 2000 times each button pushed on it. I had to clean the head and the catch roller every 3 tapes, but it is still going!!! ALL THE OTHER 6 units of other brands: the physical mechanisms fell apart after about 7 tapes ie. about 1000 times of pushing each button on them (play, stop, rewind). So there, I am using the first one - keeping my fingers crossed - while keeping the 4 unused ones - in case this one breaks finally :) I love it!
