Amazingly comfortable, compact and quiet
The Walk Stool Basic is extremely lightweight. It arrived yesterday so as of now I've only used it for scouting today. The walk stool basic is so compact and lightweight that I carried it in the pockets of my fleece pullover. I could easily zip both pockets shut which is a plus when crawling over dead tree and ducking branches. The walk stool basic is also quiet, I simply press the red button before slowly extending the legs. I leaned against a tree for back support. I have the 24 inch basic model. I was so impressed with how comfortably smoooth and quiet it performed, I've decided to use it on tomorrow's bow hunting trip and prepared a permanent place to keep it in my hunting backpack. I plan to carry it anywhere and everywhere I hunt or scout from the ground. This stool is also sturdy and durable.

Compact
Takes very little space when carrying it, but extends to a good height.

Very uncomfortable to sit upon
It's a very lightweight, but somehow yet very sturdy seat, easily able to be carried, but also uncomfortable to sit upon for very long. I'm a bigger guy (approximately 6'2" and 250lbs), but it holds me very well - if I can sit on it for very long.

No Free Returns
My caution is there are no free returns. Product is well designed and made. I purchased a basic and comfort to compare. I will return the basic as I am a larger person. I was unhappy with the lack of Free Returns.

really wanted this to work...
It seemed like such a great idea! Even bought the reinforcement straps to prevent sinking into soft ground. Very lightweight, folds into small package. BUT, I couldn't get the stool stable enough to use. The legs wouldn't stay splayed out evenly - there was always one leg that would collapse inward making the stool completely unstable. Though I tried to be very careful when sitting on the stool, I finally fell hard on my butt when the legs folded inward. Very disappointed there isn't a way to lock the legs in the stable triangle positions. I found this stool to be incredible unstable.

Handy for shopping and waiting line.
I bought this stool because my knees are failing me, I am 70 years old and have worn them out. I also have a sciatica issue. This stool has saved me pain while accompanying my wife doing Christmas shopping instead of sitting at a bench or in the car waiting for her to return. It is compact enough to carry any where, although I wish it had an attached carry strap or sling strap for over the should carrying. Have used it a number of times and as a heavy person, 250 lbs at 5' 9', it is scary to see something that thin and hope it will hold up. IT DOES! Thanks for allowing me to continue to do things I thought may have been over.

ALMOST KILLED ME!! Literally fell apart while sitting on it.
I'm 315 lbs. This says it's safe. NO WAY!! It fell apart.I has several problems.1. The legs, once retracted, do not stay in. Just by carrying it, they begin to shake out to extended position.2. There is only 1 height, not 20" and 24". False advertising. Even for me at 6' this was a little too tall.3. The three plastic sleeves holding the legs together at attached via a small pressed in cross into the plastic wall. This can pull out easily and collapse the chair, which it did to me.4. Finally, I tried to contact the manufacturer. The seller says he only sells them. I went online and found a nice house in Sweden where the inventor/manufacturer (Håkan Werner Ström and Ingela Margareta Ström) live, but no contact information for any manufacturer. Good luck tracking someone down.

Looks very well made
These stools are extremely solid to sit on and fold into a very small, lightweight package to carry. I am an older partially mobility impaired nature photographer and have a hard time getting around. I need something very light to carry and solid and safe to sit on, as I can't stand and operate my camera for long periods of time any more. I had a very cheap (and weak) stool that I used previously. This one was more expensive but definitely worth it. It is a lot stronger and much more solid to sit on. I also got one for my wife and one for our daughter. It does suffer somewhat in the comfort department (3 stars) but it's a small price to pay for the convenience it offers.
