The product is well designed and build quality is excellent. I'm writing this review to register the device for a promised 3 year warranty.

Update: I'm downgrading my 5 star review to 1. After 2 weeks, the device began operating erratically and now it has completely failed. No video, no audio, no USB, just the red power light. Returned for refund.I bought this for digitizing old VHS tapes, and it works fine for that. I also got the unexpected benefit of being able to inset it between my Apple TV and monitor (which has no audio out), and run the audio from the card to my stereo system. It passes the 4K video to my tv without problems, and I get to listen to the audio on good speakers.I've seen some ignorant posters complain about "having to install 3rd party software (OBS) to run it." Not true at all! Every video capture software I use easily recognized the card . It works well with OBS, but is a little more complicated to set up.

Bought this as its one of the few inexpensive capture cards that said it can do *Specifically* 1440p and 144hrtz. HOWEVER, when ever I pass this through to my monitor and secondary PC, there is about a 20 milisecond delay added, the video to my monitor looks TERRIBLE even though it says 4k (Which you can only downscale on your monitor to help reduce the load). AND THEN whenever you pass this through to another PC and plug it into OBS, the quality is 720p which is a lot more inline with what I see on my monitor.This whole item is a scam, from how the start up guide shows OBS, OBVIOUSLY edited to show the settings, since this item cannot live up to its expectations. I have already refunded this and am just going to buy elgato as I know that will work, and has proper software to go with it.

I bought this hoping I could use it for a Dual PC streaming set up. Unfortunately I was disappointed. It'll work..kind of. Basically it assumed I had a 3840x2160 resolution coming in from my PC even though I had it set to 1080p. It looked super blurry, I assume because my PC was outputting 1080p, the capture card expanded that to 2160, then my monitor shrunk it back down to 1080p. There was no way of changing that setting.Additionally, it wouldn't do anything higher than 60Hz. No matter what settings I changed, no matter what apps I used, no matter what I did it wouldn't let me choose anything higher than 60Hz refresh. It may work great for next gen consoles but it doesn't work for computers.

The Unit is compact and comes with all the cables it needs to connect to sources and monitors.

Got the device in, tested it with my switch and OBS, worked at first.After got done with initial test I moved it to a better placement (simple unplug and replug) and then windows didn't recognized the device, then proceed to show NOT SUPPORTED for any unput from there out.USB ports felt super tight in the first place so maybe they're not made as well?Can't recommend a product that doesn't work the first day and doesn't give me confidence a replacement would last any longer.

Like other reviewers have stated, it works for a short period of time before giving you the dreaded “not supported” message on OBS. Bought almost 2 years ago, worked for a couple weeks, then only worked when it wanted to. I stopped streaming and recently got back into it and it no longer works. Had to spring for an Elgato HD60 X, with a protection plan of course.Do not buy this capture card!
