A company that stands behind their products.
I don't use this device for rework, so I can't comment much on that ability. However, I can comment on it's ability to do what I intended to use it for. I make models and often models with lighting. I was looking for a better soldering iron station and assumed I could use the heat gun at lower temperatures to dry paint faster. There's nothing worse than literally waiting for paint to dry. I looked at several models by several manufacturers. There was a Chinese made unit that was nearly identical to this one and a few dollars cheaper. Normally I'm not one of those buy American people, but during this pandemic a lot of smaller companies have been struggling. So I have been trying to be a bit more supportive of them.I decided to go with this unit and pay a little bit more. It works great for the application I intended to use it for. The only issue I had was that the heat gun is supposed to automatically shut off when you place it in its holder and this wasn't happening. I sent the company an email and they said it could be the heat gun or the main control unit that's causing the problem. Rather than put me through pointless troubleshooting steps, they simply sent out a whole new unit. They instructed me to try the new blower first, if the new one worked then just send back the faulty one with the extra control unit. If it didn't, send back the faulty control unit and keep the extra blower as an extra. Best part? They paid for the return shipping either way.I received the replacement unit that SAME week and it ended up being the blower. I sent them back the faulty blower for testing and the extra control unit. It's by far the easiest transaction I have ever had in my 40+ years of life. It's rare to find a company that stands by their products. It's even more rare for a company to make it that easy on the consumer when things don't go as planned. If you are in the market, BUY THIS UNIT! Or buy another one, but buy it from THIS company. I am thoroughly impressed with their service and their product. I'd give them both infinity stars if that were an option.NOTE - I was not paid for this review, nor was I given anything in exchange for it. I personally felt compelled to leave one on my own accord.

Amazing Budget Soldering+Rework Station
For the Price, this station is pretty amazing. The cords to the Iron and Hot Air Gun are Silicone and Nice and Flexible. The cord on the Iron was nice and long, the while the Hot Air Gun's cord was a bit shorter, but not bad.The Soldering Iron heats up quick, and does a pretty good job of regulating and maintaining Heat, even with the thinner conical tip. The Iron also does have a sleep mode when left idle and re-heats quickly when picked back up. One downside is that the Iron can get a little more warm in the hand than I'd like. The Hot Air Gun Also heats up reasonably fast and as far as I can tell also has fairly good temperature control. The automatic cooldown when placed in the holder is a nice touch, as is the inclusion of a cool-air mode!.I haven't checked tip compatibility, but it looks like it would be compatible with the Hakko T18 Tips, which, if so, would be a big plus for me.

Great Product, Highly Recommended!
I’m sure most of you are here because you can’t afford HQ Weller equipment. Same! Rest assured, this is an excellent alternative. The soldering iron is great! I wish there were finer tips included with the set, but I’m sure I’ll be able to find some elsewhere. It has excellent temp control, and I was able to solder TSSOP chips onto some custom boards I designed with ease. :) The only thing I would change is the switch inside the iron—sometimes it isn’t sensitive enough to keep the iron from going to sleep while I’m soldering. This can be circumvented by setting the sleep delay to a longer period, so it doesn’t necessarily affect its functionality. The hot air gun works well too, and the different sized nozzles are great! I used it in conjunction with a hotplate to do some SMD reworking, and it was helpful having it around when I was reflowing Cree SMD LEDs onto arrays I designed.I highly recommend this combo!

A soldering station with just about everything a pro tech needs...
This is a great soldering station with all the bells and whistles. Although at this price it would be nice if it came with a magnifying glass stand magnifying glass and light combo stand and some helping hands or third hand to help hold wires or circuit boards. This soldering station is more for a Audio visual technician Or installer needing a workhorse then a Diyer. Because I needed something to solder my speaker wires, power wires, audio connections and terminals I picked this unit. The soldering tips are also Identical interchangeable with the Hakko units which is great. It also has great safety features and sensors to make things safer for its used like the sleep mode and sensor on the heat gun which shuts its off when it’s in the stand which can be mounted on either side of the unit. I gave it a 3 star on the temperature control because the buttons for temperature adjustments don’t feel as premium as I would like. This is still a great high quality unit with 100-400 degrees of temp for all your soldering purposes. This will probably be overkill for most but more is better and the heat gun is great for people like me who need to shrink wrap connectors and terminals. Also some people may need something portable and battery powered for certain applications but this is a top notch addition to have in your shop. You want be disappointed.

Great Design Features
I placed this station on my bench and it works even better than I expected for a unit in this price range. I like the temperature pre-sets and the air is adjustable by simply turning a knob. This unit feels well built and fits comfortably in my hand. The nozzle rack is awesome for storage. The nozzles are friction fit and do not require twisting or using an extra tool for placement or removal. The freebies that come with the unit are OK but will probably not get used much on my bench. I have used it several times already and I have had no issues. The station performed well as far as heating and flowing solder at expected temps and dwell times. I would recommend this product.
