Nice cooktop.
Got this to replace another one that broke after dropping it on the floor. I loved the old one so much, I didn't even look for an alternate, I bought the exact same model. Works great.

Great cooktop and excellent customer service from Cuisinart
Cuisinart customer service enables me to give this product five stars even though the first unit I purchased did not last quite two years. The on off switch on the big burner stopped working 23 months after I purchased it. However, Cuisinart customer service immediately agreed to replace the unit and in less than a week I had a brand new cooktop. The cooktop has a three year warranty, which I did not realize until I called Cuisinart. As to the unit itself, the big burner on the left is the hot burner and the one I use the most frequently. As other reviewers have stated, when you have both burners on at the same time, neither one seems to operate at full temperature. But I’ve been able to work with that. It’s been an excellent replacement for the propane stove that I have used for years. I really appreciate that. It does not put any heat into my kitchen, and there are no fumes from the propane stove. So it is more environmentally sound.

Maybe/Maybe not?
The price point on this cooktop plus good reviews from a couple of foodie web sites were why I bought it. I like having a two "burner" capacity because it makes cooking more efficient. We don't use a conventional range, only counter top induction cookers and a countertop oven. This unit replaces a heavily used NuWave single burner. As others pointed out, one burner has less heating than the other. On my unit, the left burner uses 1000 watts and the right burner uses 500 watts. If you are expecting a big blast of magnetic induction you won't get it with this unit. It is, however, just fine for my purposes. The energy between burners is balanced so that it will never exceed 1500 watts continuous use. I plugged the unit into a KiloWatt and checked the sinewave and wattage draw. It keeps a very level 60hz sine wave (+/- .06 hz), and the wattage can peak to 585 on the right burner and 1590 on the left burner (but only for a second or two). I am able to do bring water to a quick boil on the 1000 watt side and to hot fry on that burner as well. Both burners constantly balance for temperature sensing so the heating is fairly steady. Heat level #1 will keep food warm, around 190• F. The active induction ring is about 6 inches but unless you have the setting on #6 or above, the induction area is only 4 inches. Not a draw back but when simmering stew, soup or sauce it will need frequent stirring...not unlike a gas burner. Three things I found to be disappointing about this unit. 1) the booklet that comes with it does not have very good information about how to use the features. and what the temperature ranges are for each setting. I wound up using a KiloWatt and a laser heat sensor to figure out the temperatures of the numbered cooking levels. 2) it has a timer but all the timer does is beep, it doesn't turn off the unit. My Tramonitina and NuWave had timers that you could set and they would turn the unit off. Pretty useless. 3) the control panel is covered with a plastic membrane. My experience with plastic membrane (NuWave) is that i will peel if it gets too hot and the membrane covering the buttons will come off after some use. I will update on this. I gave it 4 stars because of the timer and non-helpful instructions.

excellent quality, name brand with US ETL & UL certifications
Very easy to use controls, sturdy, very easy to clean; unlike the made-up/fictitious name unit I previously ordered with difficult controls and variable results and NO US certifications at all!!! When running, it smelled of burning electrical components! The Cuisinart had no odor. It is also made in China but to Cuisinart and US specifications. Stick with name brands in appliances!

Excellent quality and as advertised.
This is the 3rd one I've purchased over probably at least 15 years, and I love it. Even bought one for my mother. Easy to control cooking temperature and time as you cook, and so easy to clean. I use it all the time and actually prefer it to my regular stove. Finally a product that does what is advertises and is top quality! Thank you Cuisinart!

Beware
We have migrated through all types of cooktops and settled on induction. I have them in my main home, in the vacation home and RV. This unit was purchased for our RV because we just won't use the LP gas stove. We had been using a 1500W Nuwave single burner induction cooker. Saw the dual burner Cuisinart and thought it would be ideal to sit on top of the unused LP gas stovetop...and it fits well. Problem? The Cuisinart is a dual burner unit but maxes out at 1500 watts - with 2 burners. I don't know (didn't look) at the separation of the wattages but whatever it is both burners aren't any good for anything other than maybe a slow saute or something like that. Tried making fried rice last night...won't work..it won't "fry", it won't get hot enough even on the hot burner (repeated failures). It takes forever to bring water to boil in a teapot...not right. We are going to give the cooktop away because it just doesn't have enough power to do anything but minimal cooking chores. We are going back to our 1500W Nuwave single cooker. It's unfortunate and a big waste of money, but, we learned about using induction cookers on limited power (1500W)...it can only be one burner.

Great Customer Service and great product
So happy with this two burner induction stove. Works well. Maybe a tad noisy but overall I couldn’t be happier. Relieved now that I have alternative to my gas stove. And it turns out I never really used all four gas burners so two is just fine. Also super pleased with Cuisinart Customer Service. Helped me very quickly. and I I am now a loyal Cuisinart customer. (Also love their toaster oven air fryer) A big thank you to Nikka who took care of my issue in a most satisfactory way.

Pleased with this Cool Cooktop
My kitchen is small and my electric stove throws too much heat. So happy I found this unit. Works great. As some other reviewers have mentioned, it does make a pulsing noise but in my experience noise reduces with pot/pan placement adjustment and isn’t bothersome. It works really well and doesn’t throw heat around. During operation, area around perimeter of cooktop stays largely cool since heat is efficiently transferred to pots/pans. Still adjusting to it shutting off when I lift the pan while cooking but it’s a nice safety feature and it comes back on once contact is restored. Enjoying the timer function more than I expected too. Looks nice and easy to clean.
