Cheap and effective router with good range
I bought this router to replace a very old old Cisco router that was having power issues. This new one had a nice cheap price and was very easy to setup using the direct connect web address. (I did not use their app.) All of my old devices instantly connected to the new router with no trouble, with the exception of one myQ garage door opener. I contacted customer service about this door opener. After a few weeks of (polite) back and forth messages, they sent me a beta firmware update that fixed the issue completely. As an extra bonus, the 2.4 GHz range on this new router is superior to my old router giving stronger signals within the far reaches of the house.

Works for what we need
Seems to work for what I need. We always lose cell phone signal in our pole barn that is probably 30 feet from our house even when we are on cellular. We ran Ethernet out to the pole barn and set up the additional router and now we have better signal when we are out there.

Router
This router is pretty good. The power cord is a bit short. It seemed like it was 3 feet IIRC. I bought two of these because I have a nephew that has a hard time going to bed at night. At first I tried to use the parental controls on one of them but he's smart enough to know how to change his MAC address to get around it. I wish there was some way to whitelist valid devices and put all of the other devices in parental timeout mode, but maybe that's too complex. Ended up using the 2nd router and having a universal timeout on that one. I don't think I've had any issues with them since I've set them up. My only real gripe is the short power cords, which can be sorted with a power strip or an extension cord. Overall pretty good product for a pretty good price. Thumbs up.

Good Router
Nice router. Simple set up. Works well as main wifi router, and use with inline extenders. We ordered two and use one for each purpose. Works as should. Were happy with the unit and brand, and good value.

Quick and easy
It was a quick install. The signal provided is strong and the router is the right size to hide away from guests. It seems to handle gaming speeds needed. Overall it was effortless to get a WiFi signal going.

Kind of expensive for a paperweight!π€π€¨ππ
Well, I needed a new router as the one for Speculum was blocking a program I need to use, which needs Internet connection to function. Anyway, I had an old Zyxel one which seems to have died, despite hardly ever being used & siting in a cool dry closet for the last several yrs.At any rate, I refuse to pay $100+ for a router or a modem, which is sadly the case for most these days for what reasons, I don't know! So, I looked through what Newegg & Amazon had to offer, & for what was w/in my reasonable price range-under $50! & this one seemed to get great reviews, although I am confused as to how that happened, cause this thing is a useless piece of crap!!π§ππ I have NEVER had so much difficulty trying to config a router in my nearly 30 yrs of experience w/both computers & networking! I wasted a grand total of over 8 hrs on this thing, & STILL never got it setup! It should take a max of 30 mins to do so!& I need to set a static IP address for the aforementioned prog I needed to get this router for, & everytime I set it, & then hit SAVE, the damn thing timed out, & gave me an error code. I called their USELESS incompetent tech support, & the 'genius' I spoke to there didn't know what the error code even meant! π€¦ββοΈ She said I had to call back later to speak someone who actually knows what they are doing! Not her exact words, but roughly translated from tardo to English, that is what she was saying!π§ I was exhausted from being up all night, & crashed, & when I woke up several hrs later, I tried in vain yet again! I even DL'd & installed the latest firmware update for it-this had literally NO EFFECT whatsoever on the problem, BTW!ππ & now, it can't even load the settings page at all for this thing, regardless of what IP address you type into the address bar in the webbrowser!π€¬ & their useless 'tech support' just basically told me to call my ISP to have them walk me through this problem! Claiming they couldn't help me set a static IP address in it! Not that it even matters when I cannot even get into the router's settings page!ππ & BTW, Speculum refused to give me the static IP address info too!. It's literally just a set of #'s!πππ€¦ββοΈAt any rate, if Zyxel's current crop of routers weren't all $100+, I'd just buy one of theirs, as their tech support aren't incompetent, & they will actually help you, & their products aren't useless crap! So, I am returning this paperweight, & will buy a diff 1 which is hopefully far better w/far better tech support, & not too expensive, & hopefully actually works w/out crashing everytime you save any settings changes you make, & doesn't fail to open up the IP address page for said settings on the thing too!!BTW, I'd have given tech support 0 stars, but they won't allow you to!

Good router, easy to install.
Iβve had this router for 3 months now and no issues. It was carefully packed for shipping and arrived on time. Setup was very easy. Clear and concise instructions were included. This init is slim and does not take up much room. Itβs about the size of a school composition book (the black & white marbleized design on front.) Iβm satisfied with this purchase. I give it 5 stars because it does what I expected it to do.

Low price, high value: This is a win
Excellent router, excellent price. We upgraded our internet with our ISP this week and were told by the tech that we could save a bit of money by providing our own router over their $100 model. When the technicians arrived to install the new signal equipment, there was some confusion because the router they usually provide at $100β¦Is this exact router. I was going for lowest price with highest reviews, which I guess was their MO as well. The tech said he had advised the ISP to carry this router for their customers as it presents with the most reliable bang for the buck. Understandably, thereβs a bit of markup in buying it from them, so purchasing it here on Amazon was us cutting out the middle man. The router itself is what Iβd describe as medium size. Itβs a third bigger than the small, outdated router it replaced, but not so big it will be mistaken for a piece of furniture. Itβs light weight and easy to set up. Moreover, you can purchase multiple to easily create a mesh network for larger homes or properties where you might need or want WiFi over a more considerable amount of square footage. On the whole, I am very satisfied with this purchase, and the price was excellent. Superb value.
