HiLiTES 355 Cyclone LED Universal 2-Light Under Hood Wiring Kit

I can't say enough about the quality of KC products. Aside from the great construction, these lights are super bright and an easy install. I hooked mine up to my auxiliary fuse box for power. I mounted the switch bracket above what I believe are my rocker relays on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the battery using the same bolt that secures my after market hood lift bracket and the rocker relay bracket. I had to cut the bolt a bit to get the switch through the bracket. See photo. These will be great in an emergency to work under the hood, if needed. If you spend a lot of leisure time tinkering around your engine compartment then these lights are perfect and will serve you well 99.5 percent of the time. The other .5 percent? Well... These lights do not eliminate the required use of a flashlight or headlamp under the most annoying of circumstances (e.g., looking for that required nut for tightening down the KC light switch that just dropped between the quarter panel and battery. Speaking from personal experience, you will need the coal miner's headlamp at that point). I highly recommend these lights!

These lights are very nice I used them as hunder the hood lights for my 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trail Boss. They are very bright and look like they came from the factory under the hood. You will not be disappointed.

I installed these lights in the engine bay of my 2022 Ford Bronco. They provide exceptional lighting and were a snap to install. Highly recommended!!

Good kit for mounting in your engine bay. Sadly it seems vehicles stopped coming with lights in the bay, but I have a lot going on under my hood, so I need the light to see what I'm doing, without a head lamp. Kit comes with (almost) everything you need to install this cleanly. I have a 2016 Tundra, and the wires aren't quite long enough to run it cleanly through the hood ports. So I needed to splice in some extra line to make the distance. The including sheathing was great quality, not some flimsy plastic tube that will break in a year. You can tell this will last years from environmental wear. Once again, the kit didn't have enough for the lengths I need, so parts that I extended are bare, but I will go back and put more cover on later. It has enough sheath for what comes with the kit. I would suggest getting the stick up zip tie pads, so in case you can't run the cable completely hidden like me, at least you can sinch it up out of the way. Toggel switch is good quality (plunger switch would be nice, but can always add one later. Plus I like being able to turn it off when not needed) The lights themselves are amazing quality. You can tell KC really cares about their products, because you can see their logo silkscreened onto the PCB. Meaning, this was not something off the shelves they are reusing, it's custom to their qualitys. The two lights are more than enough to fill my bay, as large as it is. I was worried I would need another suplamental led strip, but the way I positioned them, fills every nook and cranny with light. I could have pieced this kit together (almost did) but the quality of the pieces you get, you'll probably spend more time and money than it's really worth it. Would buy again for other uses.

My 2006 Wrangler had a different hood than all the videos. But it was easy to Install. I had to find another area for the switch inside the engine compartment. Will buy another for the rear.

I’ve had them on the same truck mounted on 4 different hoods over the last 4 years so I have installed them a few times. I keep expecting to see warpage or some signs of heat exposure from my engine (supercharged, headers) but every time.. nothin. After 4 years and multiple take down and reinstalling them, they’re still like new. The switch has stayed in the same location mounted on fender rail by battery (pic). I found the switch to also be solid quality and has held up well where it’s mounted. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again for any vehicle.
