Old Software in a New Box
The software looked enticing, and it was recently released by the publisher in this combo-package, as well as being marked as compatible with Windows XP. Therefore, I purchased this software thinking it was fairly new. Please be warned: It is very old software (The Encyclopedia of Space is copyrighted 1996!) in new packaging. The Encyclopedia of Space would not work on two new machines running Windows XP, and the Atlas of the Solar system (which would run - copyright of 1999) is EXTREMELY dated. The graphics are terrible, and the program is quite boring (especially to a child who is used to newer, more complex software programs). Shame on DK for marketing such old material as brand new.
