Not screws** A: You can as long as you use a wide head clout nail, but at the same time, you can only put right at about 10lbs on it, unless you're nailing directly into a solid piece of wood on both hangers. If you're nailing into dry wall, IT WILL FALL OUT. The screws that come with this product are perfect for the 40lbs of weight the shelves can hold. **Q: Mine came without hardware. How do I get them to send me the missing parts?** A: You should probably email them, find contact information in the fine print **Q: What's the accurate shipping weight?** A: its not heavy at all but i dont remember the exact weight **Q: Are the brackets steel (ferrous metal) or aluminum?** A: I don't know what metal it is exactly but the brackets are extremely strong and I am quite happy with the performance. I have absolute confidence that the brackets will last for a long time. The shelves and brackets are nice and I do recommend them, however, everyone has different opinions so this is mine.
