What a great mind.

Absolutely excellent, there is no thinker/writer so lucid as Sowell. No gaps in his thinking whatsoever.If you want to set your brain right, read this book! It will change you, but depress you at the same time (when you realise how stupid and misguided people are, including your friends and family).

Amazing insights from Mr Sowell. He change my thinking and my outlook on the world. A truly Brilliant mind. He also writes superbly and is very easy to follow his points.

Anything by Sowell is worth reading. Clear, concise and thought provoking

Good contents, but horrible print quality, if you want to kill your eyes, there is no better choice.

I listened to the audiobook. Sowell wrote that because a government is not perfect and there are problems with feedback, knowledge, incentives and accountability, so the best solution is to limit the government and lower taxes, like Regan did, when there was economic growth and increase in tax revenue (a bit). There was also a tripling of government debt, as a result of government spending that also contributed to growth and tax revenue, but that is omitted by neoliberal and libertarian propaganda together with falling wages during Regan. Sowell compared fighting with increasing role of state with the fight with Hitler, but it seems the lack of successful libertarian state on the market of ideologies is not an evidence for believers.
