No instructions but figured it out.

No amount of Teflon tape on the threads would stop the leaking. I am returning it. The included washer gasket appears to be soft silicone and it compresses too easily and then actually gets cut by the shower pipe it is being screwed up against. So it doesn’t ever make a good seal.Also the metal part doesn’t have the right amount of threads to permit my shower hose attachment to line up properly. This piece doesn’t screw on in full revolutions and doesn’t permit full revolutions of pieces that screw into it. So the handheld hose ends up sticking out the side not the bottom. And the switching valve winds up on top of the pipe which makes it hard to reach. So I can’t use one fitting to reduce flow to both the main shower head AND the handheld attachment. Moreover, I can’t attach this device directly behind the shower head because the metal attachment isn’t deep enough. The shower head has a plastic piece inside that is designed to project a bit into the pipe it screws onto. This attachment isn’t deep enough to permit that.So basically it is very cheaply made with the minimum amount of materials. And this means it doesn’t have the standard amount of thread. So if you have other attachments that need to align properly, forget this device. If you do buy it, count in using LOTS of Teflon tape and in buying decent washers for it.I did try out a shower despite the leaking. With a bucket held underneath the shower head I could get no appreciable difference in amount of water collected after 30 seconds as compared to before I installed it. This was regardless of which insert I put in. However, when I took a shower using the blue fitting (the intermediate of the three), the flow was much less than without the fitting. So much so that I did not enjoy my shower at all.

I recently installed a tank-less water heater but that's another story... The final 27KW tank-less water heater can handle water flows up to 5 GPM but with only a 36 deg F rise over the incoming cold water temperature, which in our area is ~50 +/- 5 deg F. The faucets run at ~1.5 GPM, which is important, especially in the kitchen. However, the only solution for the shower heads was to reduce water flow to under ~1.5 GPM. Thus the purchase of this product, which includes two sets of of three reducers and a chrome plated metal collar. Looking at the photos, all the colored inserts and o-rings looked the same even though the product advertises different flow rates down to 1 GPM. For the tank-less heater, I had installed a flow rate sensor in-line with the cold-water supply, so that I can monitor the water flow to be sure I was getting hot wnough water at the destinations. In physical testing of each colored insert, they ALL ran ~2 GPM +/- 0.1 GPM. In measuring the thickness of the o-rings, they were all 0.075 inches and the colored inserts are all the same except for their individual colors. I really wasn't surprised and I don't know if the seller(s) know this but basically, I'm calling it false advertisement, so they are being returned.Admittedly, the chrome plated metal collars are nice pieces and probably worth US$3 each but I have no real use for them. I've seen positive reviews on the product but I don't think most of the reviewers here are actually measuring water flow. If they are coming from 4 to 5 GPM shower head flow and the flow is reduced to 2 GPM with this product, then there is visible evidence that the flow *is reduced* "as advertised" but not to the flow they are being told for each colored inserts. Interestingly, this same set seems to be sold by multiple AMAZON vendors.If you are okay with ~2 GPM reduction then this product would do it for you. But if you need 1 GPM, it won't work for you.

Everyone should buy these. I love the colors. Blue cold Green warm and Red for hot. Now I have that little extra care before I wash my hands (Covid) and doing dishes.I bought some for all my friends and they love them too.

Super easy to install. Sizes are interchangeable to reduce water flow as desired.

This item leaks!! Teflon tape doesn’t work and it snapped in two when tightening!! Half the piece is stuck in my shower head so now I need a whole new head. Don’t buy this one! Spend the extra money for a different brand.

Easy to installObvious colour coding green for eco blue for mid and red for highest flowMade a difference to flow even on a power shower but the pump started making strange noises using the most eco green restrictor. Changed for the blue, not sure about the savings because we have a child that stays in the shower till the tank is empty. Only two more years until uni beckons when we can really start to see savings lol.
