Review: Well worth the money, they work! - A super strong wind will pop them off the 1/2'' pvc pipe on my hoop frame here and there but all in all these are really good at keeping it on. We have had 50mph winds and it kept it on. Really good idea someone came up with when they made these. The green is nice because on the white fabric cover cloth you can see them. Really happy we bought them, in fact I liked them so much I bought another set.

I haven't had much snow so I can't comment on that. I found another use for my needs. I have a watering system for one of my vegetable gardens. It's made of 1/2 inch PVC pipe that I drilled holes in to allow the water to get the base of my plants without wetting leaves and areas where the water is wasted. When I need to close the water on one or two plants on a specific line, I snap on a clamp to cover the hole. Just twist it and the water comes out again. Just wish they were a little less $$.

**Q: Description for green says 1/2 when i select 3/4.  what do i order??**
A: Find a different product that is more durable. Do not buy

**Q: How long do these clamps last? One winter or more? Do they lose the clamping strength over time?**
A: Mine have just come through their first winter in the garden on a low tunnel. We’ve had some extreme cold temps, and they seem fine. I have had them on and off of the tunnel supports, and they work as well as they did when I first applied them.

**Q: will these clips work to hold fiberglass window screen material to PVC pipes? Building a catio.**
A: Hi. Kudos for building a catio! My experience with these clamps has taught me that they need to be firmly gripped to the pvc pipe - not too loose and not overstretched - else they will slip or pop off. I would think they’d be fine for your project as long as they fit properly. It being a catio, you have your cat’s safety at stake, so it’s more of a risk getting it right. If it were my project, I think I would reinforce the security by by running thin wire (maybe florist wire?) through the screening and around the pipe, in use along with the clamps.

**Q: Will these clips fit a 18x48 cohlman above gruond pool**
A: If the pool frame is 1/2” conduit it should fit. I used them to secure clear plastic to 1/2” pvc pipe.

I bought these black ABS ones before this that were WAY TOO "CLAMPY". These work for exactly what I wanted them to. Now... IRONICALLY, I don't know if I'd trust them for Greenhouse clamps, pool clamps or where AIR won't get under your plastic/tarp I think they'll do just fine, but I live in a VERY WINDY area, and they were snapping off. Once I had my first scoop of leaves in the bag, PERFECT. The bag wasn't going anywhere, the wind couldn't get under it, made cleaning up the yard a dream. These are quite flexible and can go larger than Schedule 40 1in. Maybe up to Schedule 40 1.5in at most, but then you're surly compromising the clamp force. Though their flexibleness made it super nice when I had to remove them to retrieve the bag, since I could next them inside of each other to keep track of them. For my use case, this couldn't have been better. For most people... JOB DEPENDENT... Since it can clamp, but it's moderate to strong. Like those ABS ones I'd give a solid 10 for clamp for Schedule 40 1IN PVC pipes, I had to slide it off. For these... 7 out of 10, it will hold it down, and a lot of applications will yield success, but there is a real risk, as I saw with them popping off. Also, much like the ABS ones, they don't slide around easily, since I bought a whole role of RUBBER GRIP TAPE, thinking I needed to complement these with the grip tape on the PVC, plastic bag over grip tape then clamp over plastic bag. NOPE.
