Worked well enough for a first time ring gapper
It isn't perfect, but it worked well enough to get sbc rings gapped. Knowing what I know now, would I buy it again? Absolutely.

decent quality, aluminum base. The grinding wheel wore out gaping a set for one 8 cylinder engine

Worked great for gapping my rings. I took my time and had no issues.

Excellent one time use product
Made quick work of filing my V8 rings. Completely used up one side of the dimond file on the top rings... just flipped the dimond disk over and completed the middle rings.Tool works great... grinding disk not so much

Did a good job
The Shunevade piston ring grinder works well. In fact the first ring I took a little too much off. The disc lasted for a complete set of V8 rings. Very easy to use.

Doesn't file flat
The disc doesn't seem to have any warpage to it, but when I file my rings, no matter how careful I am to make sure they're flush against the disc, the bottom of the ring files first.It will also sometimes take a long time to file down .002 off the ring, then the next time you file, with 4-8 rotations you'll take off .005 off a ring easily, so you have to constantly check that you're not filing the rings too much.I still gave it 2 stars cause it did technically do what it's supposed to do, and it functions pretty well, other than the mentioned issues.Probably wouldn't buy again unless I was in a pinch.
