Hugo Sprouts and the Strange Case of the Beans

My 6 year old and I love this book. I love it for it's illustrations and that it tells a fun story in a succinct manner. My 6 year old laughed a lot and loved the ending.

The puns keep coming and the rhyming rhythm of the whole book is such a delight- paired with the excellent and colorful illustration work, it's an immediate hit for me and I'm sure my nephews will love it as much as John Loren's previous book- Frankenstein Doesn't Wear Earmuffs (which they can recite word for word)

The rhymes are just outstanding and fun. If you have a child with a musical ear, or one who likes rhyming, this book is both clever and simple. An adult reading to a child will find things to admire, and a child listening will find wonderful child-like things to remember and repeat. Highly recommend and look forward to more from this author.
