Moist Heat Therapy Warming Neck Wrap - 174-101-10

Purchased for my wife's birthday a year ago. We've both used it for sore necks, backs, cramps (ok, I've never used it for that), and even calves. It heats fairly slowly (typically a total of about 3 minutes broken into 45 second portions) but holds the heat for a long time. Caution: it can get hot enough to burn your skin, so be sure to keep another piece of cloth between it and you if it's too hot. THe smell is nice without being overpowering, and even I (macho guy who hates smelly stuff) find it unoffensive. Velco closure isn't that effective and a little small for a big-neck like mine, but wife finds it useful. Good product for the price. Highly recommended.

Moist heat is amazing as opposed to dry. Just consider "dry heat" during winter months and what happens to our breathing, noses and skin. I have several humidifiers to supplement the dry air in my apt. Its a small place and yet it needs several humidifiers to supply me with ade- quate moisture in the air. Getting back to the moist heat neck wrap. Its heavy, bulky, clumsy and oh so comforting. Once I became adapted to its science:multiple sacks of ? held snugly in place within the wrap itself. I made several adjustments to these sacks and each time I use the neck wrap, I shake them into place at least where I want them to be. Heating this devise in the microwave does leave an odor of a damp, wet dog. I turn the microwave off and open the door allowing it to air out. Then all is well! Sometimes we have to accept certain imperfec- tions in anything, overlook them and see the bigger item, the goal:pain relief. Does it relieve my pain? Yes it does. As someone said "its heat doesn't last long..." That's true. I would love to keep heating it again and again throughout the day, then enjoy the pain relief as I lay the neck wrap around my neck. Its been wonderful for me. My problem is, I can't take it with me, wrapped around my neck, as I go about my daily activities. Rev Pat

The quality is a quantum leap from my "bed buddy" back wrap which is held together with no less than 4 strips of Gorilla tape to keep those little beads in. This new heat wrap is more like a shell with pockets of those beads, in their own additional enclosure. Problem with those packets is that they're relatively small and dense, they also don't penetrate the entire wrap, just the neck area and the edges. It's plenty comfortable if you're on a couch that will give to the dense packets of beads, but if you're at a computer like me, the thing is so thick that it actually pushes my posture out to a position that actually causes more pain. The thickness also makes it prohibitive to bring this into bed, that mound of beads will just put unnecessary pressure on my back or neck. It's a great item if your goal is to be pampered in an accommodating setting, but if you're looking for something that will help you out while sitting in a task chair or while you're sleeping, I suggest you look elsewhere. I guess I'll be buying another "blue back wrap" and keeping it together with tape.

The photo looks great, but upon opening the package I found a large, heavy, unwieldy, poorly balanced wrap worth less (to me) than the little $10 wrap it was replacing. Not only that, but the supposedly relaxing herbal scent is too strong for that adjective and drove my cat from under the covers. After more than a month of use its odor has lessened, but nothing else has improved. Instead of a rectangular shape as I expected, it has a hump in the middle of it, presumedly for greater coverage of your back, but in truth it just adds to the weight of the thing. Moreover, it has individual packets of the filling held on with velcro, which creates cool areas in the whole. In mine, one of the packets, which has two divisions, has filling in only one of them, further adding to the imbalance of the whole and showing a certain lack of quality control by the maker. Furthermore,the packets are made of very light weight cotton, and are sure to wear through rather quickly. The cover is plush and rich looking, but the velcro closing used to hold the wrap in place is more annoying than helpful. The sticky velcro side catches on everything and picks up fleece and threads from my robes and gowns; every time I move it, I have to unsnare that side. I don't use it as I intended, around my neck, but it does work for my back at night, so it's not completely a bust. Buyer beware.

Heaven, I'm in heaven. Oh my goodness, how long has it been that I've been pain free? Never. However, with my new Moist Heat Therapy Warming Neck Wrap and some Ibuprofen, I am very close to it. After a couple of neck surgeries over the years, I have been plagued with arthritis and pain in my neck and shoulders. I have heating pads of every size and description and they all work. The horse collar, the cape and the square ones, but this one is made specifically for the neck. It's almost like a heated cervical collar, only better. The contour in the back can go up on the back of your head, which I like the most, or it can go down the middle of your shoulders which feels equally as good. I particularly like that it goes up the back of my head as the pain radiates to there from the sides of my neck. I heated in the microwave for three minutes, trying one minute at a time. Three minutes was perfect. Then I wore it around the house for a couple of hours. It left bright red marks at the bottom edges of the collar, particularly noticeable at the clavicle area and to either side of that bone. My husband says not to worry that we are Red Necks anyhow. Today, I am wearing my moist heat wrap on the outside of a collared knit blouse to, hopefully, waylay the red burn marks. They are not really burns, they just look like burns. There is no pain just bright red skin. I like that I can wear this around the house as I do my work. This has to be the invention of a woman with my neck pain problems. Thank you, whoever you are! I can't recommend this Moist Heat Therapy Warming Neck Wrap highly enough. There is NO METAL ZIPPER but two wide pieces of Velcro that join together. Perfectly safe in microwave. I purchased this at the same time as I bought the iNeed Neck and Shoulder Pro Massager with Heat . It's a little TOO rough for me and very little heat. My husband will love it.

This wrap is spa quality but more important is the only thing that has relieved my cronic neck pain that i have had for the last 2 1/2 years!l the moist heat feels wonderful and I love that it is heated in the microvewave. The only negative is I would prefer it to be fragrance free. Not a fan of the fragrance.

This is a very easy to use and pleasing product. It has a pleasant smell, it's very soft to the touch, and it is easy to heat and apply. It doesn't hold the heat as long as would like, but perhaps I need to warm it longer. I would recommend this to a friend and I would buy it again.

I heated this up in my micro wave and the aroma was heavenly! Once I placed it on my aching neck, the soothing comfort began to relax & relieve the pain. It's a great purchase.......wish I had found it a long time ago! It's a little slice of heaven for people like me with chronic neck pain. I highly recommend it to anyone.........I also have a torn rotator cuff and it fits perfectly over my shoulder to soothe that pain too.
