Bought this on a whim just to have around. Saved the day 3 times so far. One, strut mount nut rounded off while installing a lift on a Nissan. Extracted it. Two, snapped off skid plate bolt. Extracted it. Three (photo) caliper bleeder on an X5 that was cracked. Extracted it. Invaluable just to have. I broke one of the smaller drill bits, but hey, for $36 it’s great.

i bought this to fix a broken bolt on the liftgate of a jeep grand cherokee. the bolt was located close to the bottom on one side of a u shaped channel. i needed long drill bits and extractors to work it out. this set had the right size bit and extractor for the job. the dealer quoted 1.3 k for the job. the bolt was just 4 dollars from the internet. this saved me money quite a bit.

Excellent kit. Bought it before I needed it, and neighbor called about a stripped oil drain plug. I said I have just the thing! Worked perfect. Makes me wonder why there are regular sockets?? Excellent quality, manufactured to last.

I'm trying to remove a broken bolt from an engine block. I'm on my 4th bit. It's not even a grade 8 bolt. I tried one of the bits on a 1/4 aluminum sheet. It did drill through, but not with the ease it should. All this kit is good for so far is making my punch mark a little bit bigger for the set of DeWalt bits I'm about to poney up for. Oh and the 2 day shipping was a pile of bullus faceus.

The extractor bits and nut tools are decent especially for the price but the reverse drill bits are junk. I spent about an hour retrieving broken drill bit tips from the snapped hardware. I’ve used similar kits in the past and have had good luck. I understand these bits are hardened steel and that makes them brittle but I was very surprised to find the first 1/8 or 1/16 of the bits snapping off in the bolt. Sure I’ve broken drill bits in the past but to find the tip/ points of the bits breaking off threw me for a loop. Use standard “good” drill bits for a loot hole and just use the extractor bits and you’ll be fine
