A vintage HIFI upgrade!
Added a few extra inputs to my vintage HIFI system and giving it a nice and simple upgrade. My HIFI doesn't have a remote for anything. With this, I could technically have a remote for volume control for most of my components. However, to do that with this device, it would add extra complications and the use of a labeler. So for now, I get Bluetooth and optical as an upgrade. Yes coaxial too, but unfortunately my components won't allow use of it at this time. Might need to, upgrade those to something that will, later on. PROZOR might not be a name you've heard of before, I didn't ether, I can say that I would recommend their products. This is the 2nd product I've purchased, and I will get more. It's kinda funny that they're little HIFI components that are tucked in neatly with my gaint old units. I've seen someone actually build a little rack case for his collection. I'm thinking on doing the same. I will feel very happy doing that as these are cheap, with surprisingly good build quality, and does exactly as advertised.

Works great if you know to hook it up.
My tv is a bit older LG without Bluetooth. I hook up the sound to a JBL Party Box & it works great.

Works great as a DAC wired and bluetooth, but remote has issues
I like that I can easily connect my TV to my analog stereo. I like that I can play music from my phone by Bluetooth to my stereo. The sound quality is better than I expected. The remote works well for turning it on/off and switching to Toslink, but when I use the volume up/+ it causes my TV to rewind at the same time. This is a minor inconvenience since I'm not adjusting the volume once I start viewing, but I can see how it would annoy people so I deducted one star.

Works well with IR Remote Extender
I bought this to integrate my flat screen into a 1950's stereo console, so I could essentially use the stereo as a sound bar, and so I could play music via Bluetooth from my phone. It is simple to use, sounds great, and with a long optical cable I easily connected to TV to my stereo. The other concerns about infrared range being poor are true, but are easily overcome with a $10 infrared remote extender. Somehow the IR extender seems to have helped on the sensitivity of the volume control as well. Without the IR extender, volume increments aren't ideal, but it didn't bother me too much.

Remote works but is meh...
As with most people I bought this because I needed a remote for my system. The multiple audio signal sources is a nice plus, but I needed a volume control cause my output is my tv optical to an amp with a dial in the front. So the included remote is kinda average. It works, didn't get me wrong, but it has separate on and off buttons, and the 10% skip between volume levels isn't ideal. But, for the money, it's kinda hard to beat. In the end I bought a cheap Inteset learning remote and programmed it to run my tv and the dac. In the future I'll buy a nice DAC/preamp that has all the bells and whistles. But for now, this works, and I can't complain.

Making old receivers new again!
I upgraded to this model Prozor PST173 from their small DAC01 because the RCA outlet came loose. I’m loving the Bluetooth feature on this because I can stream apple music via Bluetooth instead of airplay on my Wiim. Overall satisfied from sound quality, ease of set up, design and most of all affordability!

No amplification, so Volume Control only cuts volume, but does not increase it.
It makes no sense to have a Volume Control if there is no amplification in the product.I have a hearing disability and need a Sound Bar for some videos with lower sound levels on our DirecTV. I was using a Digital Audio Coaxial to Toslink Optical Converter into my Sound Bar, which did not help on some channels, and worked well on other channels depending on source sound levels on different channels. So got this with a Volume Control hoping the Volume Control was like a preamplifier to slightly boost the signal and you could control that sound with the Volume Control. Turns out you have to run the volume and maximum volume to get a normal sound volume output to the Sound Bar, being same volume as my RCA Digital Audio Input to Digital Optical Toslink output converter produces. Bottom line is you can only reduce the volume with the Volume Control, but can NOT increase the volume beyond normal. So since my Sound Bar can already reduce the volume, or if I want it reduced, I can simply use the internal HDTV speakers to reduce the volume of the TV. So except for the Bluetooth input, there is no advantage for me with this converter than already accomplished with my RCA Digital Audio Input to Digital Optical Toslink output converter that has no volume control.Planning on keeping this unit to see if I can successfully get the Bluetooth input to work for me, but disappointed the Volume Feature provides no gain and is completely unnecessary since volume reduction can be accomplished with other existing volume controls. Having a Volume Control implies that it is needed to control a slightly boosted audio signal, but is unnecessary in this case.Listing could have included fact that absolutely no volume increase is available with Volume Control, and that it only reduces volume but does not boost volume levels making it mostly useless.I can get better results using my headphone jack converted to RCA output into my Sound Bar and then the TV works as an adjustable preamplifier and can use the TV Volume to adjust the preamplifier levels going into the Sound Bar accomplishing increased overall sound levels above the Digital Input is capable, but using that headphone jack when plugged in it disables the TV speakers, and to switch back to TV Audio I have to physically unplug that headphone cable to go back to normal TV, something I was hoping to not have to do with this DAC, but without audio preamplification it fails to do what I really needed.Other than that, it seems to work as described, except not had chance to test the Bluetooth input.

They don't last long
Unit worked for a while then after about 4 weeks the Right channel would intermittently drop out.I have tried many times to contact PROZOR customer service about this unit to no avail. Even though their store pages state "We are devoted to providing each customer with the highest standard of service" their "service" is actually non-existant. Good luck if your unit should stop working.Don't buy stuff from PROZOR. You may as well just burn the cash.

Bel prodotto, Super consigliato
