Works great for what I need
I have a couple D-Link Cameras I use around the house mainly to keep an eye on our dogs while we are out. The ones I have are older and when I needed to setup in a new area of the house I was having problems with view angle and severe back lighting from a window. I was concerned with several of the reviews that I read on here, but decided to get the device a try anyway. Setup went through smoothly, followed the quick setup instructions adding the camera to the dlink app on my android phone and scanning the QR code. Took me less then 10 minutes to get it up and running. The wide angle lens allowed me to position the camera in a great spot that provides better coverage than I was expecting. The image quality is good, much better than my older cameras and the backlighting doesn't seem to be an issue at this point.

DCS-2530 vs DCS-2630
Picture and wifi are not bad, the rest is perfect. From my side, I own the 2 versions. the differences are less picture quality and no speaker and weaker wifi. but that doesn't mean its bad, the DCS-2530 is a step-down version of the DSC-2630. If the speaker is not a requirement and a decent picture quility is required then the DCS-2530 is the perfect choose with this price tag. if you need a better clearity (both support 1080 resulution) with built in speaker (2 way) then DCS-2630 is the perfect choose with a premum price

Great image on the camera - awful everything else
Let me start by saying I love DLink cameras. I own 8 of them and I use them for a custom made security system in my house. This camera is god awful, and DLink should be embarrassed for releasing it. Let me get to why below... Firstly, I was aware of the significant issues others had from forum posts and reviews with the firmware that ships with this product. Be aware if you have this and have not set it up yet, you will not have any luck until you upgrade the firmware. Minus two stars for not making sure the product actually works out of the box. Secondly, after I got everything updated and the device working on my network, I was actually very impressed with the picture quality. This so far is the best network cam I've ever seen from DLink, and they should be proud of that. Sadly this is the only good point I have for this review. Finally my last point. So far every DLink camera I've ever used has the ability to save the images on another device, like a NAS or FTP server. This camera according to information found on DLinks website also has *some* of these abilities but not as much as previous devices I've owned. None the less their documentation does show that FTP is supported for this camera. I found that not to be the case. Once I started the setup, the only option was emailing snapshots from the camera. I have opened a ticket with support regarding this, but it looks like this camera will be sent back for a different make and model that supports FTP. Minus two more stars for false advertising. If you are looking for a camera and you only care about the features you can use from the DLink smartphone app, this camera will probably work great for you. If however you are not technical enough to figure things out, or need any moderate to advance configuration you should buy something else.

Nice camera
Excellent little camera for my 2 car garage. I have it mounted by the ceiling and I can see everything. I have it email still pictures whe, it detects motion. Ut it can also send a short video clip. Very easy to setup from my phone. I jave several other Dlink cameras and several Foscam. I prefer Dlinks ability to email pictures and video clips over Foscams pay service for video. Foscams service is nice and I do pay for it but I prefer a few stills sent in an email. Picture quality is good, the wide angle makes some things look funky 720p and under.

Nice cam, but no FTP and gets hot?
Just received and set up the DCS-2530L. After three attempts I was able to get the camera online and working. The video clarity is amazing when compared to my multiple DCS-93x cameras. The wide angle view is really wider that I need but I will get used to it. I only found two issues that concern me. 1. No FTP? - I used to take a snapshot every minute or two and upload to my ftp server. This has been convenient for having a record of what occurred while I was away. I would have to clean up the FTP server in one or two weeks to keep storage manageable. With this model, I believe I can send snapshots through email or store to a SD card, this is fairly unusable in my situation. I don't mind looking through 50,000 photos but receiving that many emails would be too much. Maybe I am missing something? I cannot believe they would remove this feature. 2. Camera gets hot just being on and not being monitored. I hope it doesn't catch the curtains on fire. I don't have this heat issue with the old DCS-93x cameras. Conclusion: I will give this camera a try for now but if I cannot FTP, I may stay with an older version of the cams that do FTP. I may also have to set this cam on a timer so the heat can dissipate at night. For now I will give it a chance at 4 stars. No FTP should really knock it down to 3 but I will learn about events and see what I can learn further. After playing with Cam again today, I really think I will return it. I will sleep on it first while I remove one star.

Cameras only worked when I was home, had to return
I bought 2 of these cameras. The picture quality was good and 180 degree range was nice. But the app was terrible and I was rarely able to view the cameras when I was away from home (always got an error). With one of them I got a motion alert every 5 minutes like clockwork - so I had 50+ alerts on my phone at work that there was motion in my house even though no one was there. Also note that you need to purchase a micro sd card to get video clips of motion sent to you. I called to try to get it set up without that and customer service was terrible - they actually asked me to give them my personal gmail password and insisted this was a normal request. I returned and bought a Nest camera - have to pay $5/month service but it actually works well so was worth it to me.

Loving it!
Awesome little IP camera. Video quality is good and the 180-degree vision is really cool. Easy to install and the android app works fine on my P10+. Those who rated poorly probably are just newbies and too lazy to read the manual.

Best camera with 180 field view and RTSP at this price
I have bought many cameras over the years, amcrest, foscams, wansviews, reolinks, etc. I was looking for a versatile camera that is of good quality and also that gives you flexibility to connect to a NAS, blueiris or other camera software. This camera provides all that. The only decent camera that i could find with 180 degree field of view / angle. I needed it to put in my garage and cover the whole garage with only 1 camera. It does not have ONVIF, but it supports an RTSP stream. So, not perfect becasue you can't control he camera with 3rd party SW, but you can take the RTSP stream from it. Installation wasnt that smooth, but not too hard. for $64 in sept'18 this is a good deal with good features. It would be nice if i had ONVIF and also higher resolution.

Buena marca
PROS: Me gusta las características de la cámara, La marca Dlink de las mejores en IP comercial, Funciona regularmente bien. Muy cómoda de colocar. CONTRAS: EL wifi es de muy corto alcance, se cae en ocasiones de internet.

Stay away from this IP Camera!
This has got to be the worst DLINK camera I have ever own. Dlink decided to ditch RJ45 for this lineup. And it looks like it confuses between broadcasting WiFi and using your network WiFi. Even with its own Dlink instruction, I was not able to successfully complete the setup, Rubbish! Not to mentioned DLink fiasco with FTC in regards to their IP camera Security allegation. I have more than a dosen IP cameras, and this is the ONLY one that is giving me grief. Avoid this like a PLAGUE!
