Best hat for summer. It can keep my neck and whole face out of sunlight! Bought one for my son and husband as well.

I read with HORROR some of the reviews that spoke of this hat coming folded down the middle with an impossible to remove crease. Mine did NOT come that way—the whole brim was on top with the back “veil” tucked under. I would have sent it back otherwise—I made sure there was a “free return” policy just in case someone did crease the hat. The color is a beautiful fuchsia, bright but not ridiculous—my husband will find me easily visible when we are hiking or in a crowd. The front brim provides coverage for my whole face—the hat is UPF 50+ and it comes with a LIFETIME warranty against defects in material or workmanship. I am VERY happy to say that it is NOT a product of Comminist China, but rather Vietnam. You can hand wash it in cold water but the UPF will only allow for 30 total washes. That seems reasonable since I won’t be wearing it every day—it should last through a lot of years as my walking and hiking hat. I LOVE the very functional feminine style—the back fabric cascades over your neck and shoulders so no sunscreen is necessary there (depending on your shirt—I mostly wear regular t-shirts or 3/4 length sleeve shirts with complete shoulder coverage). I hate the greasy feel of sunscreen on my skin so this is the perfect hat for me. I will only need some sunscreen (probably) on my chin and the sides of my cheeks that are not covered by my long hair. I think this hat is VERY well made and a GREAT value for the price. I only wish that it had come in royal blue also (which would have gone with more of my clothes).
