works perfect, but super annoying when you need to remove it. they made it WAY too difficult.

Bit costly for nothing more than an adapter, but it fits nicely in the slot and is completely flush with the edge.

I will unfortunately be returning this product as it does not work as advertised. I had a Nifty Drive already - thought it was time for an "upgrade" so I pulled the so called trigger. Well, this product does NOT work in early model Retina MacBook Pros as it says it will, sadly. Thankfully, the 200GB ScanDisk I purchased as company to this product works with my old Nifty Drive so not all is lost!!Please do not read this as if I am "anti-Nifty Drive" because the opposite is true. I am very much pro the Nifty Drive Company and think they provide GREAT products. Just the product description was a bit off for this particular item.

With the SSD on my MacBook Pro running low on space, I moved my Adobe Lightroom catalog to the flash drive inside the Nifty MiniDrive and now I have a ton of space. It's like I added a second hard drive to my laptop. The speed is fine for how I'm using it as secondary storage. I do need to remember to specifically include it in my backups though. And I wouldn't run applications from it. I'm not sure it would be fast enough for that. But otherwise, I'm very happy I was able to add 128GB of storage for under $100.

I have two of these now with my two Macbook Pro Retina 15". Pair this up with the SanDisk 200 GB micro SD to maximize the space you can add to your macbook. I use this as a time machine but have also utilized it as extra space for my backup macbook.The build quality is excellent and it looks as if it fits the macbook as an OEM attachment. The price increased about $10 on my second purchase but at $40 it is still worth it to add more space to your macbook.

the tiny flap designed to remove the device bends out making removal almost impossible. I had to pry it out and the thing bent in the process. needs some tweaking to perfect the design I am afraid

This does just exactly what I need it to do — keep a large-capacity microSD card in my MacBook as a secondary, always-present internal hard drive, without the need to reconnect it every time I reboot, and that sits flush against the edge of the machine and doesn't catch on anything when I put the computer in my bag. I love it and don't regret my purchase at all.

I like how when it is in the MacBook, it is flush with the case. It’s a good way to have an extra storage folder. It helps to work on it, especially if iCloud Drive is running slow.
