Super easy to put together - I did it by myself in about an hour! Instructions are easy and not too many parts. Just make sure you put the headboard support beam the right way (with the center notch connector higher) otherwise you’ll have to reassemble it later to get it to line up with the footboard. It’s super sturdy and heavy duty. It feels really solid and the pieces are all solid wood and heavy, being bolted together it doesn’t creak at all. I like how the slats have prongs and Velcro to attach into to lock into place, as well as a light adhesive on 2 of them so the mattress doesn’t slide either. I can fit some under bed storage units I found on Amazon too, which works great and now I can put my winter clothes away. Definitely enough storage underneath. I also just like the Carmel color of it. The finish is nice. I’m really impressed with the quality for the money. On a random note, I LOVED how the Styrofoam was wrapped in plastic so you didn’t get little pellets around your house. Such a small detail and a nice surprise (although one day I hope we can find a different less wasteful material).

I am a non-professional woodworker and I have built furniture starting with a tree - milled the lumber, air-dried it for years, cut to size, and then worked with machines and hand tools into furniture. So honestly, yeah, I'm a little picky with buying mass-produced furniture; especially flat-pack stuff that you assemble with screws. And I have assembled a LOT of furniture over the years. I have to say, I am honestly impressed with this bed frame - especially at this price point! It's made of actual solid wood, and seems to be quite well-made. It went together very easily and quickly and it's solid and sturdy. And we really like how it looks - very clean, minimalist lines. I don't normally bother to go out of my way to write a review unless something is surprisingly good or terrible. I honestly was pleased with this bed, and I would buy another if I need one.

This was an amazing purchase! I was a little hesitant because of some of the reviews, but I am SO glad I bought it. We got a king size in the espresso color and it goes amazingly with our walnut toned furniture. The assembly of the bed frame was also super easy and took my boyfriend and I about 30 minutes to set up. The wood pieces are heavy and sturdy so when we laid down, it didn't feel cheap or flimsy. Our king mattress also is perfectly fitted up with the bed frame as well! I am extremely happy I got this bed frame and the quality for the price of it is unbeatable.

I've had this bed over a year now and it's held up very, very well. The design is understated and beautiful and the wood and finish are both gorgeous. The slats stay put (they're velcroed to the frame along the entire length of each side, which is a very nice touch) and they've never made a sound. If you're looking for a well-made, sturdy bed this is about the best you will find for the price. Just be aware of this: If you ask Amazon's AI thing how much space is available under the bed it will tell you 8 inches. This is flat-out incorrect. It's 6 inches. As far as I can tell Zinus doesn't claim 8" of clearance anywhere, so the AI monster is just being AI and making something up.

High quality and easy to assemble! My only complaint is that the sides of the platform don’t extend over the mattress, so the mattress isn’t held in place with anything other than the adhesive provided. Overall, I would still recommend especially for the price and ease of delivery!

This bed is solid wood (no veneers, no MDF, no plywood), and it's built like a tank. It's absolutely solid, with no wiggles, squeaks, or movement whatsoever. That also means it's heavy, which isn't a problem unless you plan on moving it a lot. Once you get it put together and tightened down, it's very difficult to disassemble it (to get it through a door, for instance), so build it in the room you want it in, and don't plan on taking it apart or moving houses with it easily. I am handy, and I put the entire thing together by myself, and it took me about an hour. Getting the slats on (with the velco lined up correctly) was a pain, but the rest of the build wasn't too bad. It's heavy (as already stated), and it really would have been easier to put it together with two people. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced bed that is solid wood and that will last a lifetime, this is for you. Once you get it put together, and tighten everything down well, it's going to be rock solid and survive most anything. The style is as pictured: simple, with a nod towards mid-century. It's styling is very basic and classic -- it doesn't draw attention to itself, which also will add to the longevity, since it could be used in most decor.

I've bought many many furniture that needed to be assembled from various online and offline stores. From my experience, IKEA furniture has been the easiest and most well aligned. I mean some of those furnitures are just so terrible and hard to assemble. So when I bought this Zinus bed from Amazon, I expected it to be like other furniture not from IKEA. Holes not aligning, rough edges, etc. To my surprise, this bed was so much better than any furniture I've had to assemble. First, I expected some pieces to be broken since delivery guys often throw packages right at my door. But it was so nicely packaged, nothing was broken or missing. Each Styrofoam that was protecting the frame pieces were all packaged in a plastic bag so no Styrofoam was flying everywhere. I was impressed there. Second, I prepared wood glue to glue some stressed areas so it would be more sturdy. But I didn't need any glue. All the parts were already reinforced that no glue was needed at all. It was a little confusing to understand the instructions at first, since the numbers and letters didn't seem to match the instruction, but once I figured out how it was laid out, it was so much easier than the ikea instructions. Third, all screws and bolts and such were all laid out on a thick paper, marked and sealed so it was easy finding which screw was needed where. It also had plenty of extras in case some rolled in the vent or something. Lastly, the tool that came with was nice and not dinky that I actually used that tool to assemble this bed! It took about 30 minutes for me and my husband to assemble this bed and it's nice and sturdy. You can tell a lot of thought and consideration went into this bed for the consumers to make this bed as easy to assemble as possible and I really appreciate that. If all other zinus furniture is well-made like this bed, I would confidently buy any furniture made by zinus. 100% recommend.

I’ve been looking for and comparing platform beds for a couple of years and have had this one in my cart for ages. I am so glad I finally purchased it. It arrived safely boxed up which meant no pieces were damaged or missing. Instructions were clear (aside from where/when to use the washers, but that was an easy fix) and I was able to assemble it 80% by myself. Needed an extra person to attach it all together and move our heavy memory foam mattress on to it. It’s comfortable and noise-free. It’s solid and I believe it will last for a long time.

We just got this bed so I can’t speak to its longevity, but I put it together in under 30m, with help to hold the pieces up only. I’ve built a ton of furniture, and my share of IKEA, and this was frankly the easiest altogether. And it really seems sturdy, too!
