FitFlop Women's Walkstar Toe-Post Sandal

I only wear the FitFlop brand Sandles. I have had many pairs through the years, and I love them! The appearance of the shoe is stylish, while still providing good arch support and comfort! These shoes are of high quality and are made of high-quality materials. I have mobility issues due to multiple back surgeries. These are the only flipflops/sandles I have found that are comfortable and give me the stability I need. Due to nerve damage, my foot doesn't naturally roll, but the sole on these shoes provides that natural roll. This sole design helps prevent trips, stumbles, and even falls! They may cost a little more than summer sandals, but they are worth every penny to me. I cannot say enough about these shoes. They are truly the most comfortable shoes I own!

I love Fitflops. I have a screw in my foot and the micro-wobbleboard sole in this style of sandals provides excellent support with enough cushion to not irritate scar tissue. The challenge with this particular style of Fitflop is that the height from footbed to the underside of the “Y strap” at the top of shoes is too tall. Seems to be more for a thick foot not a wide foot. (Think sandwich layers. More stuff equals a thicker/taller sandwich). Such is the case with these Walkstar navy thong sandals. This makes the sandals too loose.

Wow, I’ve had these for a year and I’m amazed. I had my doubts that these sandals with their woven straps, would wear well. I was almost sure, with time they would loosen up too much to wear. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! These sandals fit today the same as the day I first put them on! And they look as great and feel just as good. And be assured, over the last year I have worn them for many, many hours, out and about, not just inside and at home. Now, otherwise, let me tell you about how good these sandals can be for your lower back. This story is about now. It’s spring where we live and like usual I bought too many trees and shrubs (many of them huge) to landscape our very large, sort of mountainous yard. I‘m having to bust to get all that greenery into the ground before it heats up around here. I’m in my early 70s and am just daffy in-love with yard work. When I started with the planting, late last week, by the third day, I was really dragging and at the end of the day I peeled out of my heavy sneakers and put on another of my favorite brand of sandal to relax. That was the WRONG thing to do! I did know sometimes those particular sandals did a mash-up of my lower back. And this time around, they quickly did that — total gridlock in 15 minutes. In agony I almost literally crawled to the closet and pulled out these FitFlops and put them on. Over the next couple of hours and into the next day, I wore them faithfully and my back was almost back to normal in about 36 hours. And I’m now back to planting for too many hours per day and wearing this style of FitFlops on off-hours. Doing that seems to guarantee that my back, if it is thinking about locking up, changes its mind. By the next morning I’m ready for most anything, including wrestling with gargantuan landscape items. LOL, I’m ordering more FitFlops today — this pair in another color and some other FitFlop styles. They look fabulous and for me, they are a wonder cure and preventative for lower back pain.

Almost three years later and I wear these constantly in the hot weather. I live in Florida so that’s a lot of the time. They are amazingly comfortable and still look good all these years later. I still have the ones I bought 7 years ago as well and they are losing their glitter a little one but still awesome. I have a very wide foot and these manage to house my enormous feet so well and make them look good
