I took a punt on this picking up a vanilla copy of the board game after the show had released, safe to say it came brand new and complete. Various languages float around, but this is definitely in English. I've accepted I'm probably never getting my hands on New California, so this will have to do!

If you have the base game, you need this expansion. The base game was... not good, on its own. The competitive nature just doesn't work right, and doesn't feel good. It is so bad that you can be playing, pick up a quest, and then have someone else complete the quest right under your nose. This expansion fixes that. This expansion give you all of the previously released questlines with cooperative rules so that all of the players are on the same side. It is much more fun to play against the board than against the board AND each other. They added some good mechanics which help make things more fun, but there are a few other things that I think can be ignored, if you don't want to use them. I 100% recommend this expansion if you have the base game. I think this is essential and required to make the game the game you probably thought you bought.
