best book
Read many ardunio books and stopped reading most because they went over my head fast. But this book has been the best one. Easy to follow.Just one thing. Wish book would have added chapter on how to solve challenges , that were at the end of each projects. Simon Monks book started out good but by page 42 I know longer was able to understand what was going on. Then I tried this one. If you are starting out I would start with this one first. After you have a better understanding then try Simon's.

Fantastic Arduino Book for Beginners
This book teaches you everything you need to know and more to get started with your Arduino. All of the basics are thoroughly covered in detail with clear step by step instructions. The examples get progressively more complex as you go through the book, but there is a real emphasis on experimenting and continuing to learn beyond what the text covers. The author gives plenty of suggestions how to do so, including providing access to some excellent instructional videos that are included with your purchase. What impressed me the most about this book is how well it is written. The author, Mike Cheich, has a clear and concise writing style that is easy to follow, humorous, and never dull. He's explaining this to you like a caring friend and it makes the process of learning so much more enjoyable as a result. Additionally, the book is well laid out and the illustrations are easy to understand. It's a beautifully produced volume.I highly recommend this book if you are looking to learn about Arduino but don't know where to start. You'll end up learning a lot.

THE go to book for Makers, dreamers and anyone looking to learn the basics of the Arduino
Once in a generation, a book is written that is so influential, so ground-breaking, and truly revolutionary in it's handling of the subject matter, it becomes the gold standard for all future texts on the subject matter. If learning Arduino is your goal, this may be that book.Mr. Cheich has written a easy to follow, step by step tome for all things Arduino. Undoubtedly two very short men may eventually have to travel a great distance to cast the original copy into the maw of a volcano for fear that in the wrong hands, the information contained therein could bring ruin to the world... Just sayin'.

Now I know best skills
In Soviet Russia i very good with computer. My brother Mikhail, he say to me, "Nikolai, you smartest in all of Krasnoyarsk, you go to America and they make you rich like Czar." My brother very wise, he best Pokemon hunter in all of Russia. So next day i wake up, I sell house, i sell goat, i say goodbye to family and go to America to become millionaire. Then in America I go to job interview and they say to me, "Nikolai, you are not for job here, you have not the skills we need". I take my fists and smash on table. I stand and I say to them "one day i will be greatest inventor in all America. Your children will wish me their father!". That day my anger burn inside of me like RBMK reactor in core meltdown. It is then i know i must learn better Arduino skill. So I buy this book "Arduino book for Beginners" by Mr. Cheich. I follow easy step-by-step instructions and learn how to make great things. I feel like wizard. Now I know great Arduino skill! I write letter to Mikhail, he write back "Nikolai, you are now great inventor, you will be millionaire soon and take many women as lover! All of Krasnoyarsk is proud for you. Good luck brother! Please send letter when you are president or maybe even czar." Now i say thank you. Thank you to Mr. Cheich for book. When i become czar your family will be spared. Haha, this is joke.

The BEST Arduino book for beginners
This book is hands down one of the best resources for those who want to learn how to code an Arduino. The author, Mke Cheich, has an uncanny ability to break things down so they are very easy to understand. Each lesson consists of some key points up front, a list of any components you might need, detailed step by step instructions on how to assemble each circuit, the example code, a discussion/explination of the code (line by line - this is where his teaching style shines through), some challenges to try on our own, further reading if you like the topic, and finally some of the lessons also come with supplemental videos from the programmingelectronics.com website. The supplemental videos are absolutely excellent and really aid in the learning process.I cannot recommend this book enough, and if someone like me can learn to code, then absolutely anyone can. I went from knowing practically nothing about coding to being confident in designing, building, and coding a wide variety of projects all powered by an Arduino. I would say if you know how to use Microsoft Excel or Word, send emails, save a file, etc, then you have the baseline skills to be able to learn how to code with this book. This is the best money I've spent in a looooong time!

Good book, but website confusing and a lot NOT included in the purchase
I haven't been all the way through the book yet, but taken on its own think it deserves maybe more than the 3 stars I've given it. The lower score is because of the website which is just a phishing trip, trying to get you to spend more money than you've already paid for the book. The book claims the code for the lessons is on the website...I've yet to find it.

you dont need 350 pages for this book
Book quality and content is good, but the price and number of pages took to cover the content is questionable. This can be a good gift for kids but I doubt if you really want to spend 1 rupee per page when the content is split across 350 pages when you can fit this in 50 pages. Definitely this didn't cover anything extra for those extra pages. I don't recommend unless you want to gift to kids.
