Best way to get kids to read
One of the best series , gives the kid confidence to read on their own. My kids loves the stories & the illustrations.

This is a collection of short stories for children starting to read. The stories are funny and interesting. My daughter (4) loves them. Great Julia Donaldson as always!

Excellent books for teaching my child to read

Such lovely books! My reception age daughter has several from the Songbirds series and loves them, great illustrations and interesting stories with a humourous element, at least one is even laid out a bit like a quiz which made a really nice change. As a parent I loathe the Biff Chip and Kipper series so these are a blessed relief!!!

We really like the songbirds collection. Refreshing change from the usual “learn to read” books. My daughter finds the stories interesting and is more motivated to read them as a result. Perfect for her to read to us at bedtime. Works really well alongside the traditional school taught material.
