I did not have to remove any factory installed molding or trim. I have the chrome package, and all that fit fine. The only challenge I found, you have to drill a hole for the flap, and then screw it in with the supplied screw. I found the screw to be soft and easy to damage its face. So, I had some black paint on hand to touch that up. The protection film in my case was not the best at sticking to the truck. But, I made that work. Stu
