Quick turnaround, listed other ingredients in sample, does require additional lab fee.
Kit came with everything we needed except a scraper and utility knife to extract and send in a sample for asbestos sampling. There was enough for 2 samples in the kit, but we only used one. There was a (hidden on Amazon) lab fee to send the sample ($40), which was still cheaper than having it tested locally.I received an email when my sample was received on 5/22/2025, informing me that it would take 5 business days, not counting holidays. Not counting the weekend and Memorial Day, we received our results 5 days later on 5/30/2025. They were negative for asbestos, and listed the other ingredients found in our sample.Very pleased with our test kit, and would buy again.

slow and you need to pay again so it is more expensive than you think
The product description is misleading. "Optional lab fee" is not optional, but it cost $20 for one asbestos test on top of the price of the kit. What they send you for your $8 is basically a zip lock bag and a pair of plastic gloves and a prepaid envelope that to ship a few onces should only be less than $2.00 at most, the instructions ask you to send more money to them to do the test. After that they are very very slow. Its been over two weeks since tracking shows they got the package and now they just starting on the test. The 5 business days they promiss was not kept. Still waiting on the results.

Got a Valid Report
I didn't know if this company would respond at all but they did and gave me a valid report about the asbestos which turned out that there was none and showed that the other report was a lie so that helped so much. They also had a link to the EPA government site which proved their validity even more. Thank you so much for your great response or report

The lab that does the testing was easy to communicate with.
I actually mixed up my 2 samples on the form I submitted. Just labeled A and B. When I received the results they were the opposite of what I was expecting. So I contacted them. The person who answered the phone contacted the person who did the testing and was able to verify later the same day which was drywall and floor tile.

Accurate test if you have time
Test was easy but it took 3 weeks to get results after I called them. They immediately sent the results and it was helpful. Worth it if you have time to get results in a week or two (or three in my case)

Didn’t receive results within promised time range
The agreements says you get your results no later than 5 business days from the time they accept your sample. If you are in a hurry and have a schedule to work on your ceiling just know you may be delayed.

I Read Mixed Reviews But It Turned Out Fine For Me.
I received the product in two days (Prime Member). It contained a postage-paid, pre-labed bag and two pairs of gloves.I received an email confimation when they received it a couple days after I shipped it. That email did contain my notification date for a week later. One week later to the day, I received a nice certificate of everything they tested.I paid a couple dollars for the kit and then the $30 for the test. To me, it was worth it to have peace of mind inside two weeks, start to finish...Lastly, my only cautionary note is that it recommends you log your case online first. I found the Asbestos section of the website akward trying to navigate. I just mailed it anyway and didn't concern myself with the pre-registration aspect. Everything turned out fine.

Been a month and still no results.
I read a few reviews and knew exactly what I was getting in terms of a cheap kit that I'm sure I could put together very easily if I knew what I was doing. I didn't know what I was doing so was happy to spend a few bucks to get the instructions and be able to understand exactly what I was doing with the kit.I mailed in the kit in late November, now it is late December and I still don't have any results. I paid $45 instead of the standard $30 to get results "rushed". I'm more than disappointed to say the least.Furthermore, the instructions in the kit tell you to register online. Their website does not allow for this. I tried when I was sending it in, and I'm back on the website now looking at the same thing. The instructions on the homepage tell you to click on the product on the left hand side of the page, when you do so there is still no where to register the product. There is a form that you fill out when you send in the results that has email as well as mailing address, they have not sent the results to either.I've seen Pro-Lab kits in multiple reputable hardware stores as well as here on Amazon, if I had not I would be thinking that they are some sort of scam. I don't know what has taken so long but I do know I will never buy a Pro-Lab kit again and will definitely be advising anyone I talk to to pursue different methods for testing.
