Please see my review of the Flash2Pass unit too
I'm disappointed that this unit wasn't included in the Flash2Pass product I purchased since the manufacturer cannot tell you which openers need it and which ones do not. Please see my review of the "Flash2Pass 103102 Complete Motorcycle Garage Door Opener Set" product if you're considering one by the way, I'm not a big fan of this company at the moment.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. I had my Flash2pass for a few years on a previous home and it worked fine. I moved to a brand new home where I needed to install a new garage door opener as the home didn't come with one. I purchased a Genie Powermax 1200 and once hooked up to my surprise it wouldn't work. I thought something was wrong with it and it may have gotten broken during the move. The light flashed on and off very rapidly and I didn't remember it doing that before. Upon some research, I found if the light is flashing rapidly (it is supposed to flash only about once every few seconds) it means it is under powered and it will need the optional power adapter. I never even realized there was a port for such an adapter but once I looked at the unit I saw where it would be plugged into. So, I ordered this adapter, plugged it in, and the light started to flash normally. Once I tested it from the motorcycle it worked like a charm. With the unit now needing power, I had to think where I could plug it in at. So rather than installing it near the manual opener button by the back door of the house like before, I installed it up over the garage opener on the ceiling and used the remaining open electric plug from the garage opener and ran the wires to the opener head along with the other wires from the manual button. Now either one will work, button or flashtopass. Very happy on this purchase as it solved the problem..

It's a power supply
It's a power supply made for the Flash to pass garage door opener. I put it on my powered gate so I can open the gate on my Harley without having to carry an additional remote. My gate control didn't have enough power to activate through the remote switch & required this AC power supply.

What's shown is not an adapter
...but rather the transmitter/receiver units. Not a big deal, but since Flash2Pass isn't getting the greatest marks for service I'd question them on what the adapter is/looks like. They show it on their website, but not too clearly. It's size could interfere with other items in a garage wall outlet, so it would be good to know.

I needed this to power my Flash2Pass. I don't ...
I needed this to power my Flash2Pass. I don't know if it was because of the distance or because of the type of opener I have. Either way, this totally fixed my problem.Without this, I couldn't operate the door with my Flash2Pass AND it caused significant interference for my regular factory opener in my car to where half the time it wouldn't operate. I don't understand that.Anyway, this solved all my problems!

Needed for my openner
For my LiftMaster openner I needed the F2P AC adapter. It would have been nice if the company had a list of opens that require the adapter.

Needed if using Flash2Pass
I purchased this after my garage door opener wouldn't power the F2P receiver. The instructions state that newer garage door openers don't need the AC adapter, but truth be told it's more about whether it's a high end or builder model opener. I have a newer house but with a builder model opener and it simply didn't have the power needed. This adapter solved the problem.
