Sentry Fiproguard for Dogs, Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs (5-22 Pounds), Includes 3 Month Supply of Topical Flea Treatments

I was a Frontline customer for years and was very happy with the results. The main problem was the very high costs associated with the Frontline products. I have five dogs so this adds up to hundreds of dollars per year. I recently learned that the main active ingredient was available in products such as Fiproguard for significantly less money. I bought a set for all of my dogs and have used the product for 3 months. They have had no negative side effects and most importantly no fleas or ticks. Bottom line: It works and it's cheap!On another note: For those who are writing negative reviews about using this product on dogs with active flea infestations and then reporting the product does not work... I think they don't understand that the purpose of this product is to prevent fleas and ticks; not stop an active infestation. That's like being out in the sun all day and getting burned and then putting on sunblock and being mad because the sunburn won't go away.

I used this on my 11lb. Italian Grey Hound mix Violet. At first it did not seem to work at all, if anything the next day it appeared to be attracting more fleas, I think they were inviting their friends for a sleep over. I went and purchased some flea shampoo and flea spray but one thing led to another and I did not get it applied. But that night I noticed quite a few flea carcasses on her pink bedding so decided to give it a little time, glad I did, by day five she appeared to be flea free! Still using it and little Violet remains devoid of fleas.

Treated our yard for fleas and treated our dogs with different flea treatment then this first. Tried this flea treatment and it worked great and last more days then the box said and like that you get multiple tubes for a good price.

Works well for us. Haven’t seen any fleas and I am not consistent with putting it on my dog.

This product KILLED MY DOG! I bought this product for 2 dogs that are mine. And a 3rd dog that belongs to my daughter. Thankfully my daughter's dog never received a treatment. However, both of my dogs did! My 1st dog, starting immediately the following morning could barely stand or walk, doing either caused extreme pain! There was no jumping either. We could barely touch her because of the immense pain she was in. I returned this product on may 14th, 2020. As of 2 days ago the "fog" or altered state my dog was in finally wore off! My 2nd dog, was Not so lucky! She started with the immense pain and then within a couple of days was at the vet for dehydration since she stopped eating & drinking. The following morning we woke up to her laying straight like a stick on the kitchen floor & she couldn't move on her own. My husband picked her up, only to find that she was burning up, had urinated on herself, & her hair on her cheek was matted down with drowl! We took her in asap! Test were ran, and she was found to have spinal meningitis! They put an iv in for fluids. Gave her antibiotics right away. Her temp was 103.4°! She had to stay at the clinic. I received a call a few hours later that Katie needed to be put down! She had been seizing on & off at the vet all day & they couldn't stop it. Couldn't get her temperature to come down either. My dog was dying! I rushed down there and was able to talk to her & hold her for a few minutes. then she was given meds to be put down!THIS PRODUCT KILLED MY DOG!! The vet said that since its liquid, it got into her blood stream quickly, causing the spinal meningitis, then everything from there traveled quickly to my dogs brain.My dog had 0 chance once this was in her system. You can not reverse it going into their bloodstream. It's not a collar that you can just take off. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!

I was a little weary in purchasing Fiproguard b/c of it being such a low price -you know the whole "you get what you pay for" deal. BUT it's the end of June (full blown flea/tick season) and the product is doing the job! Haven't seen any sign of buggies on my pup. :) Great product. (2011)UPDATE 2012 During the winter months, I don't use anything on my dog- no need. So, this year, I ordered more of this product b/c it had worked so surprisingly well last year. The first month of using it, my dog seemed fine. No fleas/ticks. Put dose #2 on him right on time (I always write the date of application and mark the date to reapply) and within 2 weeks, he was itching like crazy! And yes, there were fleas! I didn't want to put more chemicals on my poor pup so, I looked into some homeopathic remedies (they worked very temporarily).I waited the appropriate time to put dose #3 on him and 2 weeks later, he's still scratching and nipping up a storm.This may possibly have something to do with the dosage -I'm just wildly guessing- I have an 18lb pomeranian (he's not fat, just really tall -i know, weird) and so, I buy the "less than 22lb" pack -I wonder if he is too close to the max weight...? I would really hate to bump him to the next weight level, though. It might be too much.Anyway, Fiproguard worked for me last year, and has been a disappointment this year. I think this product is a gamble.

I bought this item obviously because my dog had a flea problem. I had seen commercials of all these other treatments so I looked at those first and of course I read the reviews and most of them were not that good 👎🏾 So I went to my Musely app and someone had posted about Sentry. With that info I went straight to amazon and searched it and first thing I noticed was the reasonable price but of course I went to the reviews and honestly it was majorly good things. So I purchased it got it in two days (shoutout to amazon for that one🙌🏾) and applied to my dog , which btw is a Chi-Yorkie about 9 lbs. I checked her the next day and the results were honestly shocking. I hardly found any at all! As the days went on I checked her and couldn't find any! She was still a little itchy from the damage they did which I soothed with burts bees itch relief spray. Now she's a happy dog who sleeps comfortably through the day & night 😄
