Great sound
I've bought this speaker to use with my laptop computer. It has a long battery life, great output of my music and easy to operate for those who are technology challenged like myself.

Massive Sound
This is a great product and sound is terrific and waterproof. Easy connection to phone and tablet. Will even charge phone with Q technology. It also has steady or pulsing changing color lights. I highly recommend.

My favorite BT speakr
I love this little thing. It's one of the few BT speakers that doesn't have an over hyped bass sound. I wouldn't go so far as to call it audophile but it may be the the BT speaker for budget concious audiophiles. Unlike so many of the screehcy, boom and tinkle BT speakers, it has a smooth, clear mid range and non fatiguing highs. I alread have one on the boat so it's seen some rough service and salt spray which it has handled without problem. This one, which lives at home, has been in the shower with me and withstood that just fine. I haven't dunked it though they say you can. While I haven't done it yet, I like the idea of pairing them both together and tucking them behind stuff on the patio to play a barbecue playlist of the three B's, Brahms, Beethoven and Bachman Turner Overdrive.I also use this to make meotronome clicks louder when I play drums and for that, I kind of miss having a 1/8" stereo "AUX" jack but I understand that few peopple use these anymore and I can work around it. While we're talking about the lack of an AUX jack, I'll say that it found my phone easily, reconnects easily as a "known" device and I haven't had to deal with nuisance drop outs. Range is up to one or two rooms away or across the yard with a clear line of sight.Charging is USB C which thankfully is starting to become a standard. It's tiresome have to keep, and find ,3-4 different sizes of "small" usb plugs.Soundwise It's not super loud but punchy in its own way so while it's not a disco party dance speaker it's plenty enough for adult parties or as I use it, in the cockpit of the boat where I can easily hear it from as far away as I could throw it but remember, I'm 66 and have a bad throwing shoulder but you get the idea. Another good example is that If I leave it on the porch, I can hear it over the sound of a push lawn mower from 25 feet away and my neighbor can hear that Bachman Turner Overdrive is a guilty pleasure left over from a mispent youth in the 70's and 80's.

Defective and the replacement one had bad charger...updated
The media could not be loaded. Updated review: Replacement had junk charger and the wireless charging doesn't work. Simply put this was probably a waste of money as I doubt it will last long. Expensive mistake really. Did get the replacement one to actually take a charge with a 3rd party charger instead. So at least that one seems to work. Good: it's built like a brick. Bad: pretty much everything else. Charger with it is bad, can't get the wireless charging to work, and if lights are on it drains battery super fast. Pipe dream to think it had 20 hour battery life. Maybe just got bad batches, but from nightmares I've heard on people sending warranty speakers in then never getting afraid to send this to altec lansing. May as well use it and hope it lasts. At least the replacement was actually obviously not open like the first one I received. Still one star, going on vacation with it and half expect it to not make it thru the short vacation trip. But think it was just garbage product at this point.Original review: broken out of the box doesn't turn on after 6 hours of charge and the red light for charging just flickers. Also looked like I may have been sent someone's return. Hopefully they don't pawn it off a 3rd time to someone else. Did ask for a replacement, will update when I get to see if that one will work. Had hoped to take with me on a trip so doubt it will make it in time for replacement.
