Moving the Warm Air
Bought two of these for my husband. He put them on top of our fireplace insert and they quickly start distributing the warm air the into the room. They are a great size, as they do not take up a lot of room and are made of durable materials, they are not flimsy at all. OH…and they do not make any noise whatsoever. An absolute must for everyone with a fireplace.

Definitely moves warm air
First off, I've had a wood burner for more than 25 years and didn't realize these even existed until a few months ago. Santa was nice enough to bring one to us for Christmas and it was tough initially to really determine how much difference this fan was making as we had a two week long bitter cold snap. In the meantime, I debated on whether or not to order a second fan which I finally decided to go ahead and do. No regrets at all! Most definitely after adding the second fan we could tell warm air was being circulated. We have one positioned on either side of our chimney pipe with each slightly angled away from the stove. We have a relatively open floor plan, but we also are able to open and close enough doors to help regulate the temps in our main living areas. With both fans going, it made a huge difference versus past winters as warm air was now getting moved into areas that typically still felt cooler even when the main living area was warm. So we were most happy with that. After adding the second fan we also joked that it gives the stove top an almost "steampunk" feel to it which is just a fun side benefit.Lemme see now, other things to note. I did read someone else comment about it being tricky getting them out of the box. Yes, it is. But with patience and a lot of pulling of snug cardboard nested inside cardboard, it eventually all comes out of the box. Our second fan arrived with the box completely unscathed from shipping, yet we had a bent blade. It still worked fine, and in fact almost seemed like it was pushing even more air. But while I'm no rocket surgeon, somewhere in the back of my head just kept saying a bent/out of balance blade is going to burn bearings out or something or other. So I contacted L-Best stove accessory and they got a replacement blade out to me immediately. I can't say enough nice things about their customer service - great communication - I don't think I waited more than a half day for a response from any of my emails and that included Saturdays and Sundays. So hats off to them for the great service. I was able to pull the bent blade off fairly easily but had to put my cheaters on in order to see the tiny set screw on the replacement blade but it went on without any trouble with the help of the included allen wrench that accompanied the replacement blade. One other thing I had read in other reviews prior to purchasing was how you couldn't feel any air movement. I'm not sure if others are expecting these things to blow like a box window fan does or not, but no, they don't. But also as others have pointed out, the proof is in the increased temps in areas you direct the fans in. If you have any kind of portable thermometer where you can test, that's how you can tell they make a difference. For us it's our furnace thermostat. So I feel comfortable saying in an apples to apples comparison between before having the fans and after, they do make a difference for how we have them set up. I imagine it would largely depend on each individual's situation though? I'm not Bill Nye!I think that about covers it. We are most pleased with our fans and hope for many years of service. I don't think you can go wrong with one (or two) of these if you are looking for something to move your warm stove top air. Good luck!

Spins up easy and fast. But don’t expect to feel much wind.
Pretty cool looking fan! It activates pretty easy and at a low temp. If you get your wood stove pretty hot, this little fan gets humming - fast enough it’ll hurt if you bump it!Only reason I knocked a star off is it really doesn’t move much air. Even when the fan is really spinning, I only feel a light breeze if my hand is right in front of it. My living room is pretty big, so this may not help much. If you have a small or narrow space, this may make a noticeable difference.Either way, I like it, and it’s nice to move at least some air if the power is out.

Low snd slow
Is a slow circulation, but really does help.

Improvement for Big Buddy heater
I received overnight, thank you, and put it to work right away using a Mr Heater Big Buddy with built in blower propane heater.I shaped an unused slotted grill pan to fit under the handle of the heater, and act as a shelf for the fan to sit on. A metal paint grid for bucket can be shaped and used, also!Set heater on concrete floor of a 15’x15’ garage. Turned on heater, high heat, set fan on grill pan as pictured, and left Mr. Heater blower off! Here’s what I noticed once the fan started turning. I could feel air movement standing further away from heater and higher up than just with Mr heater blower that takes $$$$-D cells! The garage seemed to heat quicker and got a little bit warmer, than past uses of this heater just with built in blower under similar 🥶 starting temperatures.Time will tell on longevity of fan. Not having to buy $$$$-D cells for blower should cover the cost of the fan!

Superior fan that moves a lot of air.
We have a very large soapstone stove with an electric variable speed fan that is a bit noisy. We purchased two heat powered stove fans: a “COMBIUBIU” 4 blade and a “VODA” 4 blade. When lighting a new fire in a cold stove, the VODA will begin spinning 5 to 6 minutes sooner and will continue to spin an additional hour+ when the fire is burning out. Dramatic difference. We just purchased a second VODA. Blade diameter and pitch (cord) provide significantly more airflow…easily double and likely triple CFM with a warm, cozy fire that isn’t blazing. Finally, we swapped locations, and the superiority of the VODA verified.
