Great product, my kid really struggles getting all of the plaque near her gum line and this has helped her improve! I have her brush once doing the best job she can then we check it by doing this afterwards to see where she needs to focus. Then she brushes again to get those areas! The purple is a bit messy but rinses down the sink pretty easily with water. Kid has no complaints on the taste and likes using them!

The product works as advertised. My sons like using them, but they complain about the taste. Out of curiosity I decided to try it out myself and I can verify that they do in fact have a terrible taste. I found that to be very unfortunate and I worried they would refuse to continue using them. However they have persisted despite the flavor. Another thing to consider is that the toothbrush bristles will be semi-permanently stained, your sink and counter tops will require a sprinkle of elbow grease to clean up after. That being said, if you can get past having to clean up after every use and ignore the taste then this product is great. It's really helped my sons get a better grasp on improving their dental hygiene.

First and foremost my apologies for those whom might get gross out with my teeth. It is for educational purposes. This great product was recommended to me by my dental hygienist. Even though my teeth are in great condition, she keep finding out on my 6 month cleaning the same three areas of concern. I am so greatful to her. I can now see clearly I wasn't spending enough time on those three areas in between my teeth which I right away have corrected. Now I see no purple markings which mean only one thing. That I am doing a GREAT JOB. Brushing my teeth in the morning and before going to bed along with flossing. I am looking forward to my next appointment and hear what my hygienist have to say. 😁For anyone reading my post. This is a FANTASTIC product, it does NOT stain your teeth, very tasty, and at a great price.

Taste is not good. Does make them slow down a bit, but tounge stays slightly purple

I'm not sure if I've ever written a 1 star review before! I can't find the brand (GUM) I am used to and have always had wonderful success with, so I read the reviews and picked this one. No one who opened up MY package and put the tablet in their mouth could give this any other than a 0 stars! I hadn't brushed for over 8 hours, and I just had a sandwich and chips. The doorbell rang, it was the Amazon delivery person, and so I opened and tried these out, expecting the plaque to show up nicely. Well, it looked like I had drank water instead of the tablet! If that tablet was working, then I must have just come home from a teeth cleaning! (Not for many moons!) Thankfully, I still had a few Gum Red-Cote disclosing tablets left, so I ran and put one in my mouth, waited 20 seconds, spit it out, and looked at my teeth. Plaque everywhere. Yup, this product is awful. Too bad, since my usual kind is very hard to find right now. This product did not change any part of any of my teeth, left them white as snow. Not even a light pink anywhere.

I remember using something similar to this product when I was a kid, so I bought these in an effort to get my three children to brush their teeth better (ages 12, 10, and 5). They really enjoy dyeing their teeth and tongues, so it's definitely a win for them! They honestly look forward to brushing their teeth every night now, and they definitely spend way longer brushing their teeth than they did before, so I guess it's a win for me as wellThe only downside is that it stains their mouths and tongues, and no amount of brushing will get rid of it so they can only use them at nighttime so that the color fades by morning. My kids wouldn't mind walking around all day with a purple mouth, but I definitely don't want them going to school looking like they ate purple candy for breakfast. All in all a great product and I hope my kids learn better brushing habits even when they stop using these tablets.
