May not be compatible with HDMI to component signal converters
The HDMI signal output quality of this device was just fine. My issue came from my particular installation. I was using it to split the output from my TiVo box between a new TV (with HDMI) and a second older TV which only had component inputs. I had previously purchased an HDMI to component converter box for it, which was working well. When I initially hooked up this splitter to both TVs, they worked great... UNTIL I turned either one either one of them off. When I did, the splitter HDMI signal went out on both of them. I found that if I cycled the power on the splitter box (by unplugging the power supply for a few seconds), the HDMI signal would return, at least until I turned off one of the TV's again. I did find that if I removed the HDMI output going to the TV with the HDMI to component converter, it worked just fine with the remaining TV. . The moral is, beware if you have any other devices in the HDMI path, it may cause issues with this unit.

Works great! It even works with a 50 ft HDMI cable!
I bought this HDMI splitter amp because the signal from my current hdmi splitter isn't strong enough to produce a picture on my projector (using a 50 ft hdmi cord). This splitter amp fixed my problem and now I can use my current hdmi splitter with my projector! For this splitter amp, I had one output go to my projector and the other output go to a tv that I had in the room. The picture on both is perfectly synced with no lag at all! The picture on both devices is beautiful! It's worth mentioning that neither of my devices can do 4K (they can do 1080p), but from what I have seen so far, I have full confidence in the splitter amp to provide a perfect 4K image for my future devices.

Realiably drives two display devices from one source.
I tried HDMI cable splitters to connect two HD TV's to a Comcast cable box with no success. This little box, however, appears to be the real deal. Both outputs appear to be full fidelity with no constraints what-so-ever. One negative review I had read previously warned of possible damage to equipment to which it was connected. The user guide warned about making connections to the box while the equipment was turned-on. I cut out that warning and taped it to the box, so that I didn't ever forget. I haven't tried it with a 4K source and display yet, but it sure works fine at 1080P.

Fried my Capture Card.
Very dissapointed at this product. It fried my Elgato HD60 through surge it gave off when I plugged the splitter into the power source. My Laptop all of the sudden stated that the USB device (Elgato) has had a surge and is malfunctioning. I disconnected it completely, tried plugging it in to my gaming desktop and same result. It said the USB device is malfunctioning. Needless to say, a 20 dollar device fried a 150 dollar capture card. Just dissapointing.

Essential for your UHDTV if you want 2 of the same pictures
This works like a charm! I was so pleased when all I had to do was to plug in the HDMI cables and then powe it on!! It makes no sense to rent another box from cable rip off companies! Look what the CEO of Viacom did with his millions... while the majoriry of people live paycheck to paycheck....

Good product.
I changed my computer (bedroom) monitor connection from DVI to HDMI, and by using this splitter, I am able to view programs and videos on my 50" TV in my living room. I use Bluetooth enabled speakers for audio. The splitter works perfectly.
