I wrote a review about two weeks ago that was relatively negative because I didn't think that the product lighting was as shown in the marketing pictures. In fact, I thought the lighting was too cold or blue and the dimmer did not dim enough.WELL SHUT MY MOUTH!!! These folks from TaoTronics sent me an email a day or two later and said that they were working on correcting some of the stuff that I mentioned. They sent a new lamp out and I have to say it is absolutely perfect! It is a warmer light and the dimmer goes down dramatically more than before. Hats off to this company for being so incredibly responsive to an individual customer! Very impressive!!!

We bought this light to use in our vintage travel trailer when we were boondocking without power. I needed something portable, lightweight, bright, and safe to use indoors. I only bought one, just in case it wasn't what we were looking for. After using it on our trip, I'll definitely be ordering more!The light is soft and warm. It reminds me of old fashion kerosene camping lanterns. One lamp easily lit our 12 foot by 8 foot camper at night (though it would have been tough to read by it if you were across the room from it). Two would be all you'd ever need in that size space. The dimmer feature is awesome! Works great for "mood" lighting.It charges with a standard micro-USB cable (same as many Andriod phones, Kindles, tablets, etc.), which is great for us! We can charge it with a car charger on the road and have light for our whole trip!The light itself is very light weight (which is important for us, since we need to keep the tow weight our camper to a minimum), but it is very attractive. I've had lots of people ask me about it when it was sitting around my house prior to camping. My husband liked it so much, he's using it as his bedside light. I'm probably going to have to buy at least two more, since I think he won't let this one go.

At $25 I had my doubts that this would be any improvement from other cheap USB powered touch lamps that I've tried and disliked. Oh, boy, was I wrong.Surprisingly high quality construction, this lamp looks and feels super fancy. It operates smoothly, requiring a soft and silent touch to operate, and the continuous long-touch dimmer is a nice touch so that you don't have to button mash through a bunch of presets to simply turn on/off. The light is warm colored but not so warm as to be useless for reading; however, it gets only JUST bright enough to read with (assuming the lamp is right next to you) so if you're looking for a bright reading lamp this may not be the best bet. At its dimmest, this lamp doesn't wake my SO, though it might wake a very, very light sleeper. It doesn't generate much heat.The handle feels like a soft faux-leather and rotates smoothly. Carrying the lamp by the handle isn't 100% necessary since the lit body doesn't produce any heat but it does keep your hands very free.I'm particularly enthused by the claimed battery life since I live in a hurricane-prone area and experience a handful of power outages every year. I haven't tried to use it for the whole battery life yet but I did run it on low brightness for around 16 hours recently with no problems.Ultimately, this fancy thing is a steal for less than thirty bucks, and significantly nicer than its kitchy counterparts in both form and function.Edit: a year later, my favorite lamp is still running strong and I've had no problems with it.

Lamp arrived today and was already working out of the box before even charging it. It's charging now and I will registering for FREE 18 months extended warranty, too. Ok...so I purchased the lamp because my 11 year old dog has been sick since December and recently developed anxiety at night when I turn out all the lights. He has been barking nonstop every single night. I've been sleeping, maybe, 2-3 hours a night since this started. I finally figured out that if I keep a lamp on, he's less anxious and can sleep most of the night. Now, I have this to use on a lower, dimmer setting at night. I went through every flashlight over the past couple of weeks and, finally, purchased this lamp after searching all of Amazon. This lamp will, absolutely, be a total life saver!!! I can get some decent sleep again and my poor guy won't be super anxious anymore. I'm actually getting a few more lamps because it will be great to have in each room. I live in Florida and there's hurricane season to worry about every year. Since it has a USB charger, I can use my portable power charger to keep the lamps running if needed....LOVE this lamp! The design and look of the lamp couldn't be better and the light quality is AMAZING!!! The option to set on a dim setting or super bright setting is awesome. At first I thought it would function only as a lantern or really nice flash light....No, it defintely gets bright enough that it acts a table lamp in my room....not kidding. I can't say enough....love it!! 💗💞

I absolutely LOVED this lamp. It was perfect for bedtime with my little ones, evening picnics, and my bedside light. I had been telling everyone about it. But after 4 months it no longer holds a charge and only works while plugged in. This defeats the whole purpose and I am very, very disappointed. Wish this wasn't the case because otherwise it was fantastic.EDIT: I changed my rating from 3 to 5 stats because TaoTronics was incredibly kind and responsive and replaced my faulty lantern immediately, without any hassle. I recommend this lamp, and the company's customer service, without hesitation.

This is a great bedside lamp, especially for kids. It gives the room a warm, cozy glow. All it needs is a tap on the top to turn it on/off, or keep your finger on the touch area to adjust the brightness. No switches that are difficult to press. Because it's portable (USB charged) and has a soft handle, it can easily be taken to the bathroom at night or anywhere else in the house.I would've liked it to be slightly brighter for book reading, but it can still be used for that purpose.

Arrived on time in good condition and well packaged. An excellent bed side light if no mains available and a handy emergency light in power failures. Good brightness variation from gentle nightlight to bright room light. Recommended for above purposes.

I purchased it and the unit i got was faulty as in it was turning off automatically but once i contacted the seller they were very responsive and was sent replacement and since getting that one it has worked flawlessly. I am happy about how long the battery lasts and how i can control the brightness on the lamp. I would recommend it. I think i can even use this in camping but haven't used it that way.

Fantastic product! You can also make the light dim down and up through touching it and keeping your finger on the top of it. I bought a second one as was so impressed! Very good quality.

Very good product. The light itself is nice, until the battery dies.Would be perfect if there was some indication of how much battery was left.
