Petzl - REACTIK+ Headlamp, 300 Lumens, Bluetooth Enabled, Orange

Petzl Reactive Lighting 2.5 Years and Counting: I was looking through orders and noticed that I've owned this light since December, 2016. The REACTIK+ was an upgrade to my Tikka R+ from the previous year. I still have both and have been working in the dark over the holiday such that I have both sitting on my charging stand at the same time and decided a review was owed.These lights have made a huge impact on my ability to get things done. It seems like with my schedule, I'm always finishing up things in the dark. Also, we have animals and with these come dimly lit spaces that require a hands-free solution that prevents grabbing a handful of wasp nest of spider web. Also, it might just be age and some fairly poor vision to begin with but even in broad daylight, I find that having a bright headlamp helps with vehicle maintenance and just about anything else where what I'm looking for is in the shadows.So what makes these two lights special? For me, three things:1) adjustible / comfortable headband.2) long battery life / rechargable.3) incredible brightness - the right amount of illumination, spread over the right area.I own competing lamps and could write about the differences but that would be inherently subjective. Instead, I wrote this review for anyone looking for experience with the usability and durabililty of the Reactive / Rechargable technology. Hopefully, you can see from the picture (and the nasty, sweaty headbands) that I use these all the time - I keep the REACTIK+ in my bag and take it everywhere.Over the period stated, I have had no issues with reliability or functionality. This headlamp is great. I bought it for pacing a friend during a 100 mile trail race. It was extremely bright, fairly comfortable, and it stayed in place. The replaceable battery was still going strong when I switched it out at the five hour mark. (I was at an aid station and I didn't want to risk having it die in the middle of upcoming technical terrain!)I originally gave this headlamp one star because I thought it was buggy. It stopped turning on after a couple of uses. I was frustrated and was about to throw the headlamp away. As a last resort, I decided to contact Petzl customer service to see if they could help me troubleshoot my device. Thank goodness I did. I learned that nothing was wrong with my headlamp--it was just locked! Doh! Petzl put this great locking feature on the lamp so that it wouldn't turn on in your bag. I definitely should have took the time to learn about my new toy before using it!

Super bright compared to my last black diamond, however, rechargeable battery only lasts 25-30 mins on brightest setting... but really, IT IS super bright. I love using it to work on micro projects. I'm glad I got it refurbished for eighty five. I would have felt a bit of remorse if I had paid more. I have a very small head and it fits me. It's comfortable. I like the lock feature. I haven't bothered with the associated android app yet. I'm just using it around the house in off grid living. I thought I'd be charging it off a solar charger, but am in a house and able to charge easy.

Excellent head lamp. Very bright. Rechargeable battery and ability to use standard batteries as backup is a plus.The Petzl Bluetooth app is not that user friendly in my opinion. The sequence of button presses for different options/ brightness levels takes some practice. A little heavy, but the head strap adjusts nicely- you get used to the weight.

Fits great, easy to use, super bright, very comfortable. I use it for trail running and working on my car at night. Very happy.

I love the adoptive lighting future and you get a decent amount of run time out of it, sometimes I forget that I even have to charge it. The one downside is if you stuff it into a bag I've had the light turn on by itself. So if I am traveling along way and don't plan on using it i usually remove it from the battery.

I'm a Petzl fan. My friends all know I've always got a Petzl in my pocket... cuz you want to stick with the bright guy when it gets dark. I live in a dark redwood forest, you can't see your hand in front of your face without a light, so to get anything done in the evening I wear one of my many Petzl's every night. I've dropped them 4 stories from scaffolding, fallen and landed on them, and abused them in every way imaginable... I've lost many, and worn many until the button rubber finally just decays from years of hard use.I was so pleased to get my new super bright REACTIK+ headlight... but wait.. it won't turn on? What?Okee Dokee, I figure I should read the instructions. One would think turning ON would be a straight forward intuitive function. About this time I begin to find the instructions are totally incomplete. They are comprised of a few disjointed random facts presented in random order. Whoever wrote this should be drug tested! It's awful. I turn to the website. It's no better! I finally figure out some of the functions of the light, but can never get the main light to come on in any mode. Functions are different if you hold the button down for 2 seconds versus 4 seconds... then you lose track of the blinks and blips.Okay, perhaps I need the Bluetooth to figure this out. Nope. The App crashes every 30 seconds like clockwork. After screwing around for an hour it connects... but then crashes... over and over. I just want to ship it all back. This thing is horrible.Oh. I'm also a product designer by trade. Get a UX-UI team Petzel!

On voit que chez Petzl, ils ont encore des ingénieurs, et pas seulement des designers ou des gens de marketing.Plutôt que d'essayer de faire rentrer des milliers de lumen dans une lampe, ils tirent le meilleur profit d'une puissance de 350 lumen dans un produit compact, sans batterie déportée.De gros avantages :Chargement via une prise micro usb standard (contrairement à la NAO+)Mode adaptatif (une quasi exclusivité Petzl) qui permet de regarder sa carte sans lui faire prendre feu ni se retrouver aveuglé pour les 15 prochaines minutes, tout en multipliant l'autonomie par un facteur 2 au moins, et sans devoir circuler dans 5 puissances d'éclairage à l'aide d'un seul bouton comme sur les lampes dépourvues de ce mode adaptatifLed rouge qui permet d'enjamber ses copains de refuge pour aller satisfaire un petit besoin sans réveiller toute la chambréeLes modes interchangeables via l'appli sont un luxe qui peut rendre service (pour ma part, je n'en utilise que deux : bivouac et trekking), les autres fonctions max autonomy ou max power se sélectionnent facilement sur la lampe même.Bref, une lampe idéale pour se déplacer à la vitesse du piéton dans un environnement plus ou moins connu. J'ai retrouvé la possibilité de promener mon chien dans les bois à la nuit tombée (dès 16h en hiver...). Pour des sports plus rapides (VTT, course), ou pour le premier de cordée, une NAO+ fera mieux l'affaire. Mais pour 90% des besoins, la Reactik+ est top.

Buen aparato, de calidad y acabados. Las secuencias de encendido, cambio y apagado son latosas y complicadas.El haz es bueno, los lúmenes cumplen. La abrazadera no se hace pesada aunque siempre se suda un poco. La duración de la batería es excelente, compré una segunda de recambio y no la he necesitado nunca (ahora me arrepiento del gasto extra...).Las opciones son excesivas. Con las de fábrica queda más que sobrada. La aplicación funciona muy bien, queda para los exquisitos o juguetones.Ligera y muy manejable. Muy satisfecho. Compra excelente.

Great product with poor quick start instructions.Once you get figure out that the product is shipped in ‘LOCK’ mode and the instructions fail to adequately inform you of this... and you unlock the lamp it works as advertisedComfortable easy to use/ charge/ long lasting.Would be 5 stars IF instructions were better

Blackdiamond Storm(2013)からの買い換えです。こちらの方がだいぶ軽い上にベルトがしっかりしていて、付けていても不快感が無いです。そして照度を気にしなくても適切に調節してくれる。これはすごいです。室内でも明るい上にまぶしくない。手元でスマホをいじるときは明るすぎて見にくいですが、これはしゃーないですね。

Lampe très lumineuse même en mode standard, pas besoin de passer en mode poussé. Tient très bien sur la tête et ne bouge pas. je n'utilise même pas l'app smartphone. Très pratique et légère pour des sorties de running plus ou moins longue en pleine nuit. Attention à ne pas éblouir les autres coureurs ou les piétons que vous croisez. Je conseille vivement. Cela fait plus d'un mois que je l'utilise avec 2 sorties par semaine avec, et je ne l'ai rechargé qu'une seule fois lorsque je l'ai reçue.
