Gerber Gear Compact Clearpath Machete [31-003154],Black

I ordered this and used in my garden. The blade seemed a bit thin but it worked.

Before you use this for the first time, clean the blade with Goo-Gone or WD-40. Then sharpen the blade as it comes from the factory not nearly as sharp as it could be. I used mine yesterday on very tall and thick bamboo and worked great after sharpening and since its stainless it held the edge very well. Regular machetes would have bent also and this is thick enough not to bend on you.

If you are looking for something to chop tall weeds this works very well. In my opinion not heavy enough to hand woody brush. They make a larger one. I would start there if you are looking for some to chop down 1” saplings or other woody brush rather than grasses and weeds.

Doubt this steel will hold an edge

I got this for camping. It made it easy to chop up some wood for the fire. The saw came in handy to saw through some PVC piping to make a little table for camping. I would recommend this to anyone needing it.

This is the perfect size for a bug out bag. It's big and sturdy enough that it will actually be useful but small enough that it will fit entirely into all but the smallest bug out bags.

Exactly what I thought it would be great quality, sharp nice saw. The only thing is it truly not that compact it is still pretty decent size may be uncomfortable wearing on a belt.

Great but the sheath where the belt loop goes through is unraveling. I will not be able to keep it on my belt loop like I intended it to be.
