Heavy Duty
Going to store keys I do not use often. Doing an Excel spreadsheet to organize the cabinet. My wife suggested we make a template for screwing the cabinet into the wall. Was easier thanholding the 18 lb cabinet and marking the pilot hole locations. Sharp lady. Was easy to program. Using a "P-Touch" machine to print labels which fit nicely in the provided label holders. Looking forward to populating the box. So far, we are happy with the unit.

Very Well Made and Perfect For Offices
We have a lot of keys at the office and they are all over the place. They are also not kept very secure and we wanted a way to better organize and secure them while allowing all who need access to have that access without having to make a lot of keys which need to be rounded up whenever an employee leaves or a key is lost and this box fit the bill beautifully! This box is beautifully made, powder coated metal and pretty heavy. It comes with 4 hefty screws and drywall anchors to hang the box through 4 holes in the back of the box. Look for a stud to hang this box for sure! The metal used in the back is thick and will be just fine holding the weight of the box and 60 sets of keys that it is made to hold. There are 60 key tags with a nice amount of space to label each, with a ring for the keys of course, in 5 different colors to keep track of the keys that are housed in the box.Hint: Once it is hung, there is a small screw on each of the hinges to move the hinges to where it opens best and then tighten the hinge in place to open and close perfectly and smoothly. You can see in the second photo how thick the metal is on the door as well as the bolts that slide to lock it.There are two keys that can be used to open the box, but there is also an electronic lock that can be set to a 5-8 digit code plus one of two letters to open the box. It takes 4 AA batteries which are included. The keys can be used to open the box if the code gets lost or if the batteries go dead without anyone noticing.Note: When entering the code, be sure that you push the red button all the way in before trying to set the code. I was having trouble getting it to set and that was the problem for me. I thought I was pushing the red button correctly, but there is a little kind of catch when you get it all the way in. Also, if the code doesn't work with one of the letters, try the other letter. For whatever reason, it worked better with one of the letters over the other for me.Once the code is set, anyone can open the door with that code unless you change it. If anything happens, the key always works to open it as well, so keep the keys in a couple of different places where they are secure just in case. The beauty of the code is that anyone who has a need to have the code can have it to access, but should someone obtain the code that shouldn't have it or someone leaves, you don't have to obtain all of the keys (hoping that no one has made any copies) and then give out more keys to new employees. Just change the code, let the people who need access know the new code and Bob's your uncle! So simple. This has worked great in my office to secure our keys. I may have to get one for our home now!Highly recommend. Excellent quality.

Solid and well built
I originally had the smaller version of the same safe in my previous home. When I sold the house I left it installed for the next owner. I was excited to pick up this one in the size larger. It is a very well-built solid and heavy safe. It will mount to your walls nicely. Preferably find a stud to screw it into. Works great for keeping your keys well organized in a very secure lock type safe. I have other key cabinets which are cheaply made and would not keep anyone out. This one will. Highly recommended. In fact I have recommended this one to a few people already.
