I bought these for my Lego-loving son and they are fantastic! They are made of very durable, high quality plastic, with excellent colors. They match exactly to the other Lego baseplates we own, but are a much better price. All of our Lego-brand pieces fit securely on the baseplates. As mentioned by other reviewers, they can be placed securely side-by-side, and even attached together with brick pieces. This is a great product - I would absolutely buy again!

I have a 13 year old son and 9 year old daughter who are LEGO addicts. ALL they asked for for Christmas was LEGOs. When they pooled their resources and built a town on 2 4x8 sheets of plywood, they did the math on what it would cost to have areas of grass, water, concrete, etc. They quickly figured out that buying LEGO plates would take both college funds combined! I surprised them with these Baseplates by Dynamax, and also shared the cost...GOLDEN!! They are nice and heavy...making the LEGO ones look cheap, actually. The LEGO friends and LEGO City sets all connect and disconnect nicely, and we can finally put the sets up together and fuel HOURS of imaginative play! No cords, no wires, no charging! They have even started building houses and other buildings out of loose bricks since they have a foundation! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these things! LEGOs are great...but save your money for sets and such. THIS is the go-to for foundation building!

We purchased these for our grandchildren. The kids are 4 and 5 years old and we wanted something very durable that would last them a long time. These baseplates are just the answer. They are very sturdy and work beautifully with the Legos that we bought them for Christmas. They measure a generous 10 inches by 10 inches and are large enough for very active imaginations. The kids love the bright colors and I may have to order a second set for the multiple cities that are being built! Thank you Dynamax for a quality product.

PROs: + YES, it is compatible with Lego! So far so good. + Cheap: you get 4 of them for the price of 2 of Lego. + Can be used as roofs, which Lego's cannot. CONs: - Slightly less sturdy that the Lego ones. - The colours are slightly off too, but hardly noticeable. For this price, it is definitely worth it! The real ones are just too expensive.

Durable baseplates. I have bought this in the past and ordered more this year to make my winter village base foundation.

I know most things on Amazon come from China and I had low expectations for these, but I was surprised when they showed up. The colors are cool and they even snap together for layering. Like you start with blue for water then the tan for the beach and green for the grass. Legos doesn't do that. Yes Legos do work with these.

These were great. Half the price of a name brand and were able to hold the same type of blocks. I was highly impressed and my children played for hours. They are fun for kids and the size was just right. Cute product.

I was really excited to get this set to glue onto a bucket lid for my sons (prextex brand) duplo legos, but sadly the (prextex) duplo legos do not stick well. It works as an overall base but the pieces fall off easily. I do not know how name brand legos fit on this.
