Breathable, Comfortable, Returned just because they were a little long for my liking
These are very comfortable and breathable. I am 5’ 7” and about 145-150 lbs. I wear them at my hips, about 2 inches below my belly button, and the bottom side of them sit just at my knees. The waist band is tight enough where they stay in place and doesn’t slide up or down with movement, and they don’t leave an indentation in my skin. I returned just because they were a little long for my liking.

Overall "meh" when compared to Adidas's other shorts, but acceptable. You get what you pay for.
Some notes: * No liner. * The white is very see-through, even when not wet. Wear a jock and you'll likely clearly see the straps without even bending over or the material becoming taught. If you want to be more modest, throw some compression shorts on underneath. * Generally thin (hence the see-through). Not entirely sure how durable they'd be. * Not dazzle / probably not good for game-day shorts. * Probably best as a practice short that can readily be destroyed without worrying too much. * No pockets (pretty normal for these). * Pretty much expected at the price point. * Fit is basically as-expected when compared to other Adidas shorts. * Waistband's height/thickness is noticably smaller compared to the higher-quality Adidas shorts, probably by an inch or so. * Legs seem baggier, circumference-wise, than the higher-quality Adidas shorts, but I could just be imagining it and don't care enough to actually check the size. :P * Rougher "finish" / "surface" on the fabric which seems to snag a little more than the game-day shorts. Again, could just be imagining this and got spoiled after several washes of the nicer shorts. Overall I gave it 4 stars, but it's probably a 2.5 or 3-star pair of shorts if you were completely ignorant and expected game-day shorts; they'd work, but woe be to the white-shorted team member that forgets to wear underwear (or, bonus to the team looking to advertise a sponsor on their underwear; words would definitely be legible :P) . They're cheap and pretty much as-expected for the price point--for me that is. But chances are pretty good if you avoid the white, you'll easily be able to make due without a second thought.

Great shorts ! Just wear the right underwear that suits u.
Ok so here is the deal just wear the right underwear that suits u. Like these a lot for there lightness and the sheer doesn’t bother me . I’m an African-American so I wear undies that are close to skin tone. The sheer is not a right out see through either. It just depends on how the light hits u. I wouldn’t suggest a jock unless u don’t mind the butt cheek straps showing through from time to time especially if u get sweaty and wet. I have worn a thong/ g string and nothing shows but the cheeks but the bat & balls stay covered . My chart covers the top of my booty so people can’t really tell what’s going on.

Just Don't
I needed 3 pr of black athletic shorts for an upcoming training, but only had one, and did not realize that until Tuesday. I orderd 2 pair of these since I could not find anything local at the big box stores. They just arrived, and I have to say I would get tossed off the base if I tried to wear these in public. Even with solid black boxer-briefs underneath, it is so obvious that these are basically transparent, I'd be just as well wearing nothing BUT the boxer-briefs. I also ordered a men's medium - which most of my clothes are - and these are NO WAY men's medium. These are even too small for my 105 pound, thin-as-a-rail 13 year old. I truly cannot believe these are Adidas, or that they licensed the use of their brand to whatever outfit is trying to pass these off as athletic wear, but it's honestly embarrassing. Sending these back immediately.

Super thin material - do not purchase white
I bought 2 pairs of these shorts, one black and one white. The fit is spot on, I'm about 5'9", 165, 30" waist and the smalls fit perfectly. The material is ridiculously thin. The white shorts get one star, I cannot go to the gym and have folks know what color underwear I'm wearing. Returned immediately. The black are better, but still pretty transparent making me more self conscious than I need to be. Adidas has better lightweight shorts available that are not basically transparent, get those. The big plus here is that these were super cheap, I'd be quite upset paying full price for this item. They will most likely just end up as shorts I wear over compression pants on cooler running days.

Lightweight running shorts
These are the type of shorts I would run in or play soccer in. They are above the knee, very lightweight and don't have pockets or lining material. They are exactly what I wanted to lounge around in on hot summer days and good value for the price. They are similar to another pair of climatlite shorts I have in they are very lightweight, but I can see how people who just think they are getting normal shorts are dissatisfied. You can't see-through the dark blue I have but I can see that being an issue for the white shorts. I'm 5'5" wear a size 29/30 pant and the small fit me perfectly.

Lightweight and short
Economical, light weight, no pocket, simple shorts. Very comfortable. I am 5'7" and 185 lbs. Medium fits\ well, small was very tight. It is also not as long as other shorts on the market, which I like.
